I have never been in Rome and I did not see the famous monument with Romulus and Remus. But if you are the expert you could say something about this copy in Segovia.

I've also noticed this statue in Segovia. It's located next to the well known aqueduct. It was a gift from the city of Rome on the occasion of the 2000th anniversary of the Roman aqueduct.
I wonder if you would show this picture to people without telling where it was taken and of course also without the inscription, if people would see that it is taken in Spain and not in Italy. I think that the colours of the buildings behind the statue are very similar to the colour of many houses in Rome. On the other hand the balconies with the wrought iron bars look typical Spanish to me. Maybe I am mistaken.
Best regards, Paul

learnt about this legend in school and the famous statue, copy seen here. Lots of wonderful texture, detail and a superb idea of its size and setting, especially in the workshop image. Looks amazing.
Enjoy your Sunday - B.

I am no expert at all on the original statue, but this is a beautiful one. A great capture of it too, I really the angle you chose, the body of the wolf seems to be like a barrier between the skies and the city, or perhaps the connection, which emphasize the history of this famous sculpture. Nicely seen and nicely done.

J'aime beaucoup le point de vue qui donne de l'ampleur à la célèbre louve nourrice de Rome. La contre plongée donne beaucoup d'ampleur au monument et l'arrière plan est superbe.

A well composed photo with very good colours. I didn't know of this sculpture in Spain but there is a similar one somewhere in Romania. I don't remember whether in Bucharest or some other city. I don't think that one was a gift from Rome, it was probably erected there by an order from Ceausescu for propaganda reasons.

Sensational composition with this beautiful sculpture, and as a nice background succession of walls, the beautiful sky also gives a nice complement to the image. Long enough that I will not Segovia ago, the next time I will locate this sculpture, I do not remember seeing before.
An image to enjoy, with its beautiful colorful, high brightness and perfect sharpness.
Happy start to the week.
