Before leaving Spain I'm posting last photo from beautiful historical Alhambra.
Simple, but I like it. Which part of Alhambra? One of side entrances to Palacios Nazaries.
When taking this photo I was attracted by the beautiful windows and nice reliefs above the entrance door, and also the lonely visitor.
Since I was there during month of February, the Alhambra was not crowded like during summer holiday season.
I was rewarded by excellent sunny, but not hot day during my stay there.

In the thumbnail it looks like a simple and minimalistic composition, but I see a lot of details, impressive pattern, original work.
Have a good time!

Good pov and good frame to show a selected corner that comprises variety type of geometrical shapes, good contrast of color in between the whitish wall with the brown color tiles, distinct photo, well done.

If this is a side entrance, that says a lot about the stunning workmanship on this place, this doorway is fit for a king! The level of detail you captured here is brilliant, and enhanced by the wonderful light. I can also see a surprised face in this doorway with the middle windows being the eyes and the dark doorway being the wide open mouth! Love the symmetrical composition.
All the best

Had it not been for the visitor and your note, I would have thought this to be a superb abstract art on a white canvas. Nice view of carvings and artwork, beautiful architecture. The central composition works well over here. Very well done, thanks for sharing.

Maybe a little bit rare that we see a little bit of these woman see beneath in the picture.
Nevertheless a very good picture with a lovely oriental architecture.
Very well composition, light and colours are excellent taken.
Nice done, TFS.
Have a nice day,

what an interesting and unusual composition here. I like the minimal effect. I like the hint of the visitor. Love the razor sharp details of the facade. Great one. Tfs.

Like how you have spotted this frontage, symmetrically shot offering a strong graphical effect with the shapes, line and curves in stark contrast to white wall. That fig adds another dimension and sca,le as well. I would say that you had succeeded in your intention, and produced a captivating picture. Nicely done shot, Congrats.

The white wall is contrasting well with the other colours. The presence of the person has an effect of scale. The point of view is showing the détails and colours of the Windows. Have a nice day.

I love the symmetry, simplicity and the intricate details. The lone head is a welcome addition.

The composition of this picture is simple but very beautiful. The fine architecture details are fascinating. It's also very good in sharpness and clarity.

excellently spotted scene!I like the way you framed the scene. This dominating white facade and the way it contrast to the person in red and some ornamentations above the entrance is just great and makes the graphics of the image very expressive.
Have a nice evening

nice the view as the presentation of this tight frame with the entrance to be placed perfect in it.The head of the passing by woman? adds life in the scene.I like the excellent light and the colour management as the superb contrast of the colours.

I'll echo what Serghei mentioned, because I thought the same thing when I first saw this in the smaller size from the gallery. A larger view and closer inspection does in fact reveal more detail than meets the eye, which is what makes this so interesting. The rustic colors and intricate design are exquisite against the white wall. A great idea as well to include the person walking by, breaking up just a bit more of that space. The slight curve along the top adds another wrinkle to the visual and overall compositional pattern, and the blackened entrance is super contrast. Beautifully simple, love the alternate perspective of this place. Enjoy the weekend. take it easy.
Thanks for the link to your Luzern pictures. I had viewed them before, and it was just as enjoyable this time. :)

A well observed picture with all these interesting building details with the man against the white wall.
ourania (44302) 2014-02-23 7:38
a very interesting and effective idea to use this wide symmetry for the presentation of the exquisite side entrance. The architectural design is quite simple but the decoration is so elaborate and fascinating. I like very much how the patterns and textures of the decoration stand out next to the smooth monochrome of the wall and the shady entrance. I'm intrigued by the presence of the visitor and the way she evokes movement and interrupts the symmetry. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely evening,

I was there only once, four decades ago, and it made a deep impression on me. One column out of hundreds was slightly off plum, not precisely vertical. The guide explained that it was the builder's statement, "Only God can make perfect." I think your photo is as dramatic and near perfect as I can imagine. Well done,
ikeharel (69809) 2014-02-28 7:31
Thanks Miro for the enlightening note written on my post.
Exquisite clear details of the Moorish style art elements, and the efficient addition of the passing tourist with his inquisitive view upon the adorn arch. accidently he gave scale to the whole view.
Nice taken a wide wall as format.
