Hello friends and colleagues , today I offer this as a recognition of the work of all of you , walking with my wife for round and we stumbled upon this surprise , a photographer on a balcony , is a mannequin on the balcony of a well-known museum of antique city , I hope you enjoy it , I put in the Ws another view , then a few letters of the city.
Ronda is a Spanish municipality located in the autonomous community of Andalusia , located in the northwest of the province of Malaga. Is the head of the eponymous administrative area and the capital of the region of the Serrania de Ronda.

Ronda has its origin in Roman Arunda to be established from existing Iberian settlement . The Visigoths gave continuity to the arrival of the Muslims, who consolidated their role as regional head and its urban entity. Its location facilitated the defense of the city and placed in a strategic position to master the steps and paths to Lower Andalusia . This and the availability of land suitable for agriculture was finally granted a remarkable historical importance.
The city sits on a plateau cut by deep pit dug by Guadalevin , the looming buildings of the historic center , which gives the city a picturesque panoramic view , along with the variety of monuments which has , in natural environment and its proximity to the major centers of mass tourism of the Costa del Sol , has made a remarkable round resort . The ledge of the pit and the bridge that saves are the quintessential image of the city.
Among the remarkable monuments of the city are located on the Tajo Gorge along with the Old Bridge New Bridge , Bridge or Arabic bullring . Ronda was divided and still retains this division into three neighborhoods: San Francisco , the oldest in where he was nailed to the quarterdeck , the city , where the large buildings , convents , churches and palaces, very picturesque streets with arches, columns , coffered and arabesques that reveal their origin, and , finally, the Market , the most modern , founded following the Reconquista , baroque village notorious for its dazzling whiteness and enriched by the grates of your windows, products local crafts .

une très bonne prise de vue, c'est intéressant de voir encore ce genre d'appareil photo.
Bon cadrage avec la barrière et la lampe murale, complétant bien le caractère ancien de tous ces objets.

He looks quite real and you did a good job over this white wall. He reminds me of the photographer who was coming at the school to take a group picture when I was young. We were making faces to him when he had the black piece of cloth over his head thinking he did not see us.

Those were the days !
Think on those pilgirmfathers of the photography who had to carry those heavy equipments. And once in the darkroom use the wrong way of developers; first the fixing bath and than the developer at the end empty glasses !!
TFS and best regards

With a camera like that the photos would probably be superior to most of those taken with modern digital cameras. But for snapshots in the street they were no good. But this is an amusing and original composition which for a few seconds almost fooled me before I noticed the "photographer's" hand.

The WS is photographically better than the main post.

Wow, thats an old camera! One I think we can all on this site appreciate in this digital world where life is so much easier, the art used to be a totally different thing than what I know! You chose a brilliant perspective to take this very eye catching image Angel, really nicely done.

From the thumbnail it looked original!!
Nice shot of the mannequin with his lovely pinhole camera. I like your composition with the ornate lamp and the balcony railing. It all adds up to the old world charm. Well managed light and superb clarity. A photo which should be close to all photographers heart :-) Thanks for sharing.

I imagine it is very many years since this apparatus was used in earnest. Complete with mannerliness, it makes a fascinating photographic subject. I like the graphism offered by the balcony railing and the sue of the elegant lamp as a frame. I think our photographic predecessors had a much harder time of it than we do.
Nicou (130007) 2013-12-20 4:47

I thought you had stumbled upon the making of an early 20th century film. It is a remarkably good statue and I like the way you have both captured and presented this shot. The angle and the positioning of the figure is very effective, the lamp is strongly placed and the choice of a grey border matches the shot perfectly.

ourania (36366) 2013-12-20 10:33
a simple and effective presentation with great perspective and framing, that give dynamism and elegance. There's a well defined graphism, set off by the homogeneous, contrasting backdrop. There are attractive natural details, mystery and amusement for the viewer. I like how you completed your composition with the lamp at the upper left corner. The workshop offers another interesting point of view. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great weekend,

Wow, it is nice to see some folk still do this type of photography. Very dedicated photographer. I admire the passion in him. Good shot. I like the warm lamp as part of the composition.

That's a very old camera, the last I used this type of camera was when I was a photography student decades ago. Good pov and good lighting with sharp details. Well done, tfs.

could you possibly imagine using a camera like this one!
Oh what an experience that would be.
No doubt that this camera doesn't fit into your back pocket :)
a great piece of history, and I like that you included in the light fixture too.

annjackman (20899) 2013-12-30 23:39
I am glad that we don't need to carry a camera of that size around anymore! A super composition with all the elements well placed. The lamp is a lovely addition forming a good diagonal with the camera and railings. Well seen and taken.
Happy New Year, Ann

A curious moment. A perfect timing in your snap. And it is just works that the background is that perfect white and does not interfere with your subject. Awesome!
