Puerta del Sol is a square of Madrid. Here was one of the access to the city in the 15th century.
In those years the city was surrounded by walls and to enter or exit had some major points of access for pedestrians and carriages called Puertas, and for pedestrians only had several minor access called Portillos.
The Puerta del Sol or Door of the Sun, which no longer exists, was in the place that today occupies this square, and owes its name to a sun adorning the ancient entrance.

I like the perspective of your shot created by the curve in the front. Nice light, excellent sharpness. TFS

Looks like there is a lot going on in your picture with several points of interest, especially the statue
of the horse and rider.A pity the car in the foreground is so prominent but nothing you can do about that.

A superb perspective over this square, how did you obtain this vantage point...an open air bus? It looks as if you're right in the middle of the action! :) Speaking of which, this composition lends itself very well to that aspect of life and motion...so much to see in this frame. It feels lively, especially under a sunny day. Great capture of the daily movement and atmosphere. Have a nice day ahead.
