The las Palomas island is a small island in city of Tarifa, linked by an artificial road situated between the Marina and the beach, and is one of the most representative images of the city, and is the southernmost point of Europe.
The town of Tarifa is situated in the province of Cádiz in Spain, is the southernmost city in the whole of Europe, is just 14 miles from Africa, it is here also that the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. From Tarifa, the views of Morocco are spectacular, and the ferry boats, make the link several times a day from Tarifa to Tangier in Morocco.
It is in this area that most appreciates the wind strength of Lift, a wind of land that provides excellent conditions for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Why rate is known as the capital of wind in Europe, welcoming many of these competitions.
The historical centre of Tarifa is surrounded by medieval walls, is composed by a maze of narrow streets filled with many bars and animation.
