From tower to tower, a photo from Salamanca, Castilla y Leon

Photographer's Note

Making this photo I was again shivering. First,because it was terribly cold, even worse as yesterday in Avila. And I was on one of the towers of the church of Universidad Pontifica. The other tower is of the Cathedral. Difficult to believe but I could not find the University (and I had the map:(). Probably my brain was frozen I couldn't find the Old Cathedral eather. Silly. But I enjoyed my stay there. This was the last town in kmy Spanish trip. Tomorrow I go back home.

Par-dessus les toits, la ville s'étale joliment avec ces maisons et immeubles couverts de tuiles romanes, ces édifices, qui rivalisent de beauté, et puis, tout au fond, la ville moderne qui s'enfuit à l'horizon.
Quelle vue, depuis une tour !
J'aime la finesse et la richesse de cette image.

Bonjour Malgorzata,

J'aime beaucoup la construction de cette image. L'utilisation de la tour sur la gauche donne de la profondeur à l'image et les détails sont d'une grande netteté.

I din´t knew this perspective...It deserves a very nice play of colours and textures, a pitty to have such bad weather, but even that way sky looks really good, a creative composition using the wall at left...

Hi Malgo,

The things you do to get a photograph! Freezing cold and lost, even with your map!

This picture was well worth all the effort. The cathedral tower stands out proudly against the sky and above all the lovely red roofs below. An excellent composition with lovely colours, perfect exposure and stunning sharpness.

By now you'll be back home in Warsaw - but for how long? :)

From TE photos I already know Salamanca has a unique and fabulous architecture's and monuments, Malgo.
Seeing the view between towers, and onto the far horizon, roof tops sight - the town offers many photography opportunities.

a splendid image with the tower of the New Cathedral and the city of Salamanca at its feet. I like the fantastic graphical effect of the roofs and its contrast with the grey and cloudy sky.
I took a close-up of the clock of that tower, which I will present soon, as well as another photo of the Old Cathedral.
It's a good composition, in which you have emphasized the beauty of this gorgeous city.
