| If you go to barcelona, you mustn't forget to visit the "familia sagrada" ! This cathedrale is not finished to build yet, but is very very beautiful. The construction has begun in 1919 and should probably finish in 2020 (as it is said). It's based on the specific Gaudi's architecture. |

Interesting composition : the light makes the colors very beautiful. I just regret there's a little overexposure.

Wonderful colors. I like the light reflection ont the rock, a bit overexposed though. The volume of the wall is well captured... but I will probably have increased the contrast to give more importance to the wall and to the light reflection on it.
Why is this cathedrale not finished ? Don't they have enough money ? Is Gaudi dead ? Did he draw other buildings ?
Piocus
When I was in Barcelona, there was almost no sun at all, and the atmosphere was completely different from what can be seen on your picture. It looks like I definitely missed something !

I like the works of Gaudi. I find them briliant and very original. Also I like your photo because I find it is always difficult to take photos of windows in a church.
Gaudi was born in 1852 and died in 1926 in an accident. A tram ran over him.
Some other works of Gaudi are:
'El Capricho', in Comillas (1883 - 1885)
Casa de 'Los Botines', in Leon (1891 - 1892)
Palace of the Bishop in Astorga (1889-1893)
and in Barcelona
Park Güell (1900-1914)
Casa Milà, or 'La Pedrera' (1906-1912)
Casa Batlló (1904-1906)
Casa Calvet (1898-1899)
He planned also a hotel in New York which was never built.
