This is part of the Bishop's Palace at the Cathedral of Menorca in Ciutadella, taken from the courtyard where I took this little girl's photograph.
The courtyard here was a quiet, restful place in the centre of Ciutadella. I liked this staircase leading up to an arched gallery and appearing in marked contrast to the bright whitewashed walls surrounding it.
This, again, was another picture taken during our wonderful photographic holiday in Menorca with Philip Dunn.
Shot in RAW and converted and edited in PSE9.

Hello John - The strong sunlight was possibly not the best light to shoot these wonderful steps under but you have done well with the management as I see no blown highlights. I may have stopped down a little more to try and soften the glare though. Well composed and pin sharp. Enjoy your evening, it is really cold here! Rosemary

Nice capture with good pov and simple layout. The red flowers at life in the scenery. I like the texture and colour of the stone work, really sharp and well exposed image despite the strong light nothing is under or over exposed. Love every detail of this unique beautiful architecture. Great perspective and nice lead into the archway, very mediterranean and inviting shot. Well done

You have given an Escheresque image in this posting !
Did he use plant pots in his compositions ? I am not sure ! But no colour, if memory serves.
A good photograph, dealing well with the hsrsh light off the white wall, yet not losing it in the shadows. You have retained good colour on the stone wall, given you were facing the sun, give or take. Clearly it was very high, but even so...
You certainly seem to have picked up some useful tips from your holiday - a good investment.

Truly beautiful picture!
Sharpness, colors, vertical forma, contrasts and composition are highlights! Light was difficult, but you managed it quite nicely!
TFS - congrats,
