The office of the Sierra Nevada Sky is the number one place for practicing winter sports. Although it is only two hours to locate the hot Costa del Sol, is one of the best ski resorts in Spain.
The Sierra Nevada is a mountain that belongs to all the Betic, and specifically to systems Penibético located in Andalusia, Spain, which spans the central-south-eastern province of Granada and the south-western part of the province of Almeria. In 1986 it was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1999 and much of the territory was declared a National Park for its botanical values, landscape and natural. It is the massif of highest altitude in Europe after the Caucasus and the Alps, and the roof of the Iberian Peninsula, being the top Mulhacén Peak of 3482 m.
