Photographer’s Note

A blue hour panorama of the vast marina of Palma de Mallorca, taken from the Castillo de Bellver viewpoint. The well-illuminated object, a must for a Sunday upload, is La Seu, the cathedral of Palma, built on the site of existing mosque. This huge building is 121 m long, 55 m wide and 44 m of nave height. Designed in Spanish Levantino / southern French Gothic style with influences of the north european Gothic, it was founded by King James I of Aragon in 1229 but finished only in 1601. In the early 20C, the famous Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi worked on the restoration of the cathedral.

I also like reading you describtions - feel like History lesson whenever I view your work.

Superb blue hour shot.
lots of light in the low light time of day, and the main subject the Cathedral is also well lit.

Hi Alexander
Excellent viewpoint and you chose well to frame it tightly without sky just above the lights which frame and centre the eye on the cathedral. The yacht masts in the foreground are so attractive too.
