Photographer’s Note
Everybody knows, in Spain, a literary personage named "Don Quijote".
He belongs to one of the most known book about chivalresque literature, titled "Don Quijote de La Mancha", writed by Miguel de Cervantes in 1605. In one of its Chapters, this book explains how "Don Quijote" fight against these windmills ridding his horse "Rocinante", while he was invaded by a madness momment.
"La Mancha" is a region in the center of Spain, where this story is situated, and most of its villages (Campo de Criptana, Mota del Cuervo, Madridejos, Consuegra…), have windmills on the hills like these in the photo. They belong to "Consuegra" village of the "Toledo" province, and are aligned on the top of a softly waved hill. Behind them, you can see the wide fields of La Mancha, hit by the hard summer sun.
I visited La Mancha in summer of 2003, specially hot, and there, it was about 40 C.

Nice perspective.
I would cut the right one and reducing the noise in the sky.
Good contrast.

Jaume, there is noise in the sky area but I tend to give benefit of doubt of the image is scanned and compressed from film as the original will be fine. I like the subject and it looks parched, even the windmills looked exhausted. That heat could make you mad! I suppose these mills are not working but preserved for heritage. Nice photo.

Hola Jaume, I like this nice view of the molinos full of light and with good depth, but the rigth one should be cropped away and the noise in the sky reduced, I show you in the WS.

Very nice mills Jaume!! I like the subject and the excellent POV you choose. The light is great. I agree with Jean-Yves about the sky but anyway, it's a very good job! Best regards,

Sorry but only now, I see you with attention in your Portfoliio, because there are so many members that is almost out of my time to see with attention significant works in this situation.
Great "Don Quijote" de "La Mancha". Good perspective, four and one another "windmill" in perpsective, good colors, contrast and composition.
Is really a great moment to shot and photo, and my congratulations!

A bit noisy but it's a scan, I understand.
Looks like a painting.

Hi Jaume - I really like the composition, it shows the mills from various different angles, and the intense light is well managed here. I went there in april this year, it was very windy and very crowded, far from 40°. (you seem to have many of your pictures taken during hellish hot weather)
