Opposite ways Photo

Photographer’s Note

People treking in Sierra Nevada at about an altitude of 2500m, not far from the parking lot. The climbing to peak Veleta at 3400m starts here and it takes about 3h, but most visitors just walk around this area to fill the fresh air of the mountain and enjoy the views.
Granada is about 30km from this point of view which is also not far from the winter sky resort.

I don't know if these two trekers know where they were going but they obviously had diferent opinions about the right way ;-)

Hi Ricardo, nice to see you ! very funny composition. I like the diagonal line and the colourful figueres. Maybe the one on the left got tired and goes down. The clouds are so low. great colours.

Hello Ricardo,

I also notice that there is a cloud for each one, but it is not equal… It is smaller for the person who makes the effort to go up !!! An original glance, once more, in the continuity of your preceding photograph. I like much the diagonal here and this feeling of space. The quality of image is very appreciable as well in the colors as in the light. Well done Ricardo.

Excellent minimalist image in Baba's style. The slope is nicely positioned, anad I love the two guys in the primary colours to go with the primary blue sky. The clouds are prfectly exposed with lovely deatil.

Thanks to my work schedule, I am finding difficult to take time to write crtqs, although I try my best to post 2 to 3 pictures a week, which also is less successful sometimes. Love this view, two distinct halves in the picture, contrasting colours, excellent 3D clouds and the opposing nature of the two trekkers, that two with contrasting colours. Love the minimalistic style, more reminding of Barbara

o solo destas montanhas tem umas pedras prateadas bem interessantes, nos últimos dias vc está numa fase minimalista. gostei da compo, perfeita na sua simplicidade de elementos, muito boa em todos os sentidos técnicos e artísticos, parabéns

A very pleasing composition with a diagonal twist. The trekkers in opposing direction are the highlight of your shot. Vibrant colors and very strong contrasts. I never though of taking a picture this way, will have to try it out, when the situation arises. Well done

Cá para mim parece-me que cada um vai trepar na sua nuvem. O trabalho do da esquerda parece mais fácil.

me gusta el simbolismo y la fuerza de esta escena, en la que un hombre está subiendo y el otro está bajando, en una especie de Ying y Yang gráfico en la montaña.
Su presencia se complementa muy bien con la diagonal de la ladera, las nubes y el cielo azul como fondo.
Bien vista y bien hecha, amigo mío.

Your picture shouts at me! It is funny, well spotted, with an excellent timing and eyecatching colors. But, like any mischievious imagination that respects itself, I am tempted to do a nasty WS. I hope you'll like... although I dare to cheat with reality.

there is an arresting power in this photo - simplicity of the "theme" plus the idea of the men chasing the clouds - both in different directions...

Muito bem caçada! Até nas cores eles divergem! Dá ideia que a encosta é a pique e que eles se preparam para subir pelas nuvens acima. Ora dizia eu que não gosto muito de teles?! Bom, aqui tenho que abrir uma excepção, aqui a compressão da perspectiva dá um efeito do caraças!
