Photographer’s Note

Yesterday I contributed to a theme of Felip, today is the turn of Docarmo's "The world in miniature".

This is Poble Espanyol (Spanish Town), a kind of theme park consisting of copies of several buildings from all over Spain. Contrarily to most of the similar parks I have visited or know about, many of the copies in this one are hardly miniatures, as that only happens to those which originals are two big. It's an interesting place for children from 3 to 93 years and it's no surprise that it was one of the highlights of the whole trip for my 11 years son.

I don't know the name of this palace any more, but I remember that the original palace also has those fake painted windows on the lower floor because of something related to a tax on the number of windows.

The wide angle distortion so exaggerated that I started to like its kind of surreal effect. :D

The image is a stitch of 3 horizontal shots that was a bit tricky to produce in Hugin, not only because of the stitching proper, but also because of the high contrast between sun and shadow.
