Photographer’s Note

This moorish castle named Alcazaba is the second greatest castle of this type in Andalucia after the well-known Alhambra in Granada.
The Alcazaba is located about 90m above Almeria and nowadays extensive works are ongoing for restoring this beautiful place of history.
The castle itself was build in the 10th century by the Califa of Cordoba: Abderramán III.
The advantage visiting this castle is that for the moment it's less crowded than the Alhambra and you can find a lot of nice places in Almeria and also relax on the beach after visiting.

the place is fantastic,well enhanced by strong and contrasted colours and by an excellent POV!I like the contrast of the green tree and plants with the very dry landscape!It surely worth a visit,this is superb!

Bonjour Edouard,

La prise de vue permet d'admiere les détails et les couleurs de l'architecture de ce château maure. Elle dirige aussi notre regard vers les montagnes en arrièr-plan ce qui donne de la profondeur à la photo. Les arbres cadrent bien le château. Le beau ciel bleu envoie un éclairage qui rehausse les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

I like the composition: the tree on the right is a good balance for the distant tower of the castle. Excellent, interesting landscape view; interesting historical place (and the architecture, of course)! And I also appreciate the natural colours :)

Quite an interesting and curious landscape and architecture, it looks more Africa than Europe. The image is well composed with the tree balancing the castle and with a fine sense of perspective and space. I like the strong cromatic contrast between the intense blue sky and the reddish castle.

Hi Edouard,
Nice capture of an attractive castle, good composition including blue widely and green. White fringes around foliage and mountain at the right can be reduced when using Select Color Range in photoshop.
