Photographer’s Note

Certainly that little girl doesn't seem very happy. She looks upset.

However the other girl, the girl behind her, looks very very proud.

The second is a beautiful and proud young girl who would kill the "fallera mayor" if she could. They are falleras, but not the most important.

They were in the balcony of the city hall during one "mascletà" and after the "mascletà" all the people turned their heats to them.
People love them (especially the fallera mayor... that's why she would kill her) and also the people from Valencia love the Fallas (well, some people of Valencia avoid the city during these days).

And.. what means fallas? It's an old tradition where the fire is the most important element. They do giant scultures with wood (some of them really spectacular) and all of them are lit on and burnt at the end of the Fallas. Also there are bullfighters and more fire and fire.

Really Fallas are bigger than that... but this is only the beginning.

Vaya careto de la niña! jaja, muestra el cansacio que conlleva los paseos vestidas de fallera, muy original y graciosa captura,
al contrario la compostura que tienen las falleras mayores!
Buen trabajo! jaja el WS es mejor aún!!

Conseguiste una instantanea muy divertida , tu lo has dicho , dios bendiga a los teleobjetivos , muy graciosa la fallerita y muy harta o cansada parece..

funny, this photo deserves a better attention... there is a great charm in the dressing we can see... and - of course - "unusual" clothes cause the kids' reactiuon which "builds" drama in this image...

sense entrar en l'estètica dels vestits de "fallera", la teva foto m'ha fet somriure. Realment has captat un moment de cert disgust de la nena del primer pla, amb una expressió a la seva cara que contrasta amb l'alegría de la noia del darrere seu.
Bona gestió de la llum i bona nitidesa en el pla curt.
És un "momento irepetible" sens dubte.
Bona feina.

Hola Carlos,
Muuy divertida! No consigo decidir que es lo que me gusta mas, se la expresión de la niña, se la belleza de la chica detrás de ella. ;-)
Me gusta los tonos calientes de la luz y me intriga que la niña a izquierda parezca estar haciendo el mismo que la otra, criando un efecto de simetría que me hizo pensar que habría un espejo.

Vaya foto tan cachonda. Se le van a salir los ojos de las cuencas. Destaca el contraste entre el horrible careto que pone la niña y la belleza de la chica que está a su espalda.

Hello Carlos! I have to appologize, you left me such a nice note yesterday but I had to delete my photo, sometimes I am like this and when I see my photos again, I know I could do better ... but so it goes. I tried again, similar but something else :))) Love this one, she seems so so bored, the little girl, probably thinking "mother again".
