Photographer's Note

Zariquiegui is located in the central part of Navarre province on the way to Santiago de Compostela. Main attraction of the town is the Romanesque church of San Andres (XIII century) visited by passing pilgrims on French Way Camino de Santiago. This temple is simple ribbed vault and square tower at the foot. It has a Romanesque portal flared with capitals decorated with plant motifs and the large crismon in the eardrum. Inside, the main altar is Romanist the first half of the XVII century.

This photo was shot 80 km (50 miles) from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and 684 km (428 miles) before Santiago de Compostela.
