Isla del Fraile Photo

Photographer’s Note

The "Isla del fraile" (friar island) is a little island of 6'3 hectares that has nearly no vegetation. Instead you'll find a rich marine fund and it is also a transit site for dolphins.
Moreover it possesses an important colony of seagulls and some remaining houses from the beginning of this century.
Its name comes from the steep silhouette that resembles a friar hood.

Hello Edouard, intersting shape indeed this eiland. Nice subject to take a shot. I hpe you don't mind but i did a WS on it where i try to get more vivid colors and other composition instead of centerd. Hope you like it.

Bonsoir Edouard,

La prise de vue dirige notre regard vers l'horizon ce qui donne de la profondeur à la photo. Elle permet aussi de voir les détails et les couleurs de l'île. Les réflexions dans l'eau sont des atouts à la composition. La qualité de la lumière rehausse les couleurs du paysage. Bonne soirée.

It looks like the top of a map of Australia partly submerged in the water. Natural looking colour, with good sharpness, & subtle reflections. Perhaps a slight cw rotation? Tfs!

Friar island one of the small Island of Spain.
I find your picture very fine, excellent of colours nice presentation too.
Also depth sharpness and clarity are superb.
