Greetings from Spain! I didn't planned to go to El Escorial, but when I was in Aranjuez, I noticed that the train went to Escorial, so why not to go? The weather changed constantly, this was the moment with nice sky, later it rained a bit. In the Basilica of the Monastery there was a marriage ceremony of someone important, as the guests were very elegant and even small boys had nice suits. I had to wait an hour to go inside, but then it was beautifully lit and I could hear the organ, so I was quite happy.

I dedicate my first photo from Spain to Manuel and Luis who showed me the beautiful places of Madrid and I had a great time with them.

glad to see you made it to Spain ok, I'm so jealous of europeans, with all those countries so close to eachother.
A wonderful photo to open your trip with, very very sharp, very clear and well exposed.
there is nothing i would change here.
looking forward to seeing what you have up your sleeve next :)

Bonjour Malgorzata,

J'ai eu le plaisir de visiter cet endroit et cette très belle image m'en rappelle le souvenir. L'Escorial offre une très belle diagonale dans l'image ce qui lui donne beaucoup de profondeur et la lumière est très belle.

Ah, ha, Mrs. Itchy Feet travels again! And this place was well worth a visit. I had forgotten that you share my passion for organ music so your extra trip was well worthwhile.

A beautifully composed shot with lovely "lead-in" lines, lovely subdued colours and excellent detail and sharpness. An interesting note too.

A mesmerising shot in excellent pov of this magnificent architecturein all its splendour, a real cracker as the colours and detail are superb. Well exposed in fine clarity with the contrast against the blue adding to the impact of the scene. This makes an intriguing image. Just fascinating!

Czesc Malgorzata,
urocza pocztowka z Hiszpanii. Jeszcze chyba nie widzialem tego miejsca. Okolice Madrytu wydaja sie pelne ciekawych miejsc dla fotografa. Bardzo ladne chmury, przez wiekszosc roku niebo jest tu pewnie wylacznie niebieskie co nie jest latwe do sfotografowania a tutaj chmury tworza ciekawy efekt.
Zazdroszcze bardzo i kolejnej wyprawy i spotkan z trekkersami.

this sight of the architectural ensemble of the Monastery of El Escorial is fantastic, I like the wide visual angle of your framing.
There is a nice graphical contrast between this magnificent building and the blue sky, with a few very aesthetic clouds.
The swans swimming in the pond they add a bit of vitality to the composition.
A beautiful work.
