This newspaper man does nothing. He only pours coffee. The trickle't end there, as it's part of a cunning system. I took this street scene in Madrid.

namaste, a nice portrait cum street photography here. Your 'newspaper man' reminds me the 'copper man' shot posted here by Patrick... Excellent image quality. Nice light management. Sharp details of the man in action. A very good one indeed. Tfs.

An interesting and well cropped photo of what must be a terrible job. It's fun to watch it for a while, but just imagine sitting there all the time in the heat without moving, and in those clothes.

There are so many of these street characters in most Cities today & they are wonderful - all very clever - just look how perfect this newspaper man is... until he moves & everyone around sighs & jumps out of there skin in fits of laughter & surprise...
This is a great shot well spotted.

Very nice portrait of this kind of creepy looking performer. I wonder why he is made of newspaper, haha. Great effect though, and makes for a very good street capture. Nicely done. I am guessing the coffee leaves the cup throu a tube and up his arm, back into the jug and just continually pours? No end to sit theatre and trickery.
All the best

Well now, this is a new one for me...I don't ever remember seeing a street perform dressed like this man! Even without any motion or action involved in his "act," I still have to give him credit for being original in costume. :) The paper reading the paper, crazy...but I guess if it garners some Euro, well then it works! The outfit combined with the pavement is a little bit of trickery on the eyes at first glance, a touch of the 3D effect. Another fine capture of the every day happenings on the streets. You never know what you're going to come across, and this is certainly a new twist on the classic statue pose. Nicely composed, I like that you've filled a majority of the frame with this performer...a still shot for a motionless man! Enjoy your Sunday. Take care.

this is a marvellous picture. I love the way you've placed your subject, the living installation, in the frame, the many diagonals create a consistent and elegant impression. The human interest consists of the mysterious newspaper man, of legs and shadows. There's wonderful sharpness and sense of depth, a fascinating play of light, shadows and grey tones. A captivating picture, I wonder what he thinks of during the long hours of his role. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely evening,
