Photographer's Note

No image (in either the Western or the Eastern Church) permeates Christian art as the image of Madonna and Child.

Here is my take on this theme. The stained glass work is a part of the huge window in the Santa María la Real de La Almudena (or in short - the Almudena Cathedral)

I had thought to put together - in short the development of the theme in world history. But with the immense material available, I think it impossible to put a short note in TE.
Instead, I thought of mentioning a few of the "stained glass" creations that I would like to share and encourage a discussion.
Among the first that comes to mind is the very ornate Madonna della Salute of Sanctuary of St. Camillo, Milan.
Another beautiful piece was the stained-glass window in La Giralda, Seville, Spain.
