Photographer’s Note

A covered gallery in the town of Aranjuez.
For those who don´t know it, I would really recommend going to see Aranjuez - it´s about 20-30 km from Madrid on the A-4 (road south to Andalucia), it´s the nicest town in those parts. It is spanish version of Versalles and far less known, but in my opinion even nicer for that very reason - not so much mass tourism. There is a beautiful palace, surrounded by enormous gardens full of trees and shade - a very welcome stop when travelling the A-4 south in the height of summer.

This covered gallery actually gives access to people´s homes - the palace´s gallerys are more sumptuous. The incredible length of the gallery made it a great subject for the photo - along with the very particular vaults (called "bóvedas baídas" in spanish) and the way the light reflected on them.
