Photographer’s Note
The Camino de Santiago (the Way of St. James) is a large network of ancient pilgrim routes stretching across Europe and coming together at the tomb of St. James (Santiago in Spanish) in Santiago de Compostela in north-west Spain. The most popular route (which gets very crowded in mid-summer) is the Camino Francés which stretches 780 km. (nearly 500 miles) from St. Jean-Pied-du-Port near Biarritz in France to Santiago. Other Spanish routes are the Camino Inglés from Ferrol & A Coruña, the Via de la Plata from Seville and Salamanca, and the Camino Portungues from Oporto.
The network is similar to a river system - small brooks join together to make streams, and the streams join together to make rivers, most of which join together to make the Camino Francés. During the middle ages, people walked out of their front doors and started off to Santiago, which was how the network grew up. Nowadays, cheap air travel has given many the opportunity to fly to their starting point, and often to do different sections in successive years. Some people set out on the Camino for spiritual reasons; many others find spiritual reasons along the Way as they meet other pilgrims, attend pilgrim masses in churches and monasteries and cathedrals, and see the large infrastructure of buildings provided for pilgrims over many centuries.
These pilgrims reached the goal and are happy i n Santiago de Compostela.

Elementów dziś bez liku. Szkoda tylko, że główny - w centrum - ma twarz w cieniu. Ale fajne zdjecie, tak czy owak.
Pozdrawiam.

Hello Malgorzata,
A nice view of the "everyday's life" on the Way of St.James. The peoples in the FG and a great propsect to the nice edifice of Santiago in the BG. The expression of the peoples are very well collected and the colours of the clothing and the falg give a bonus to the image.
Good and interesting photowork.
Have a good day,
Roger

Hi Malgorzata.
Nice colourful shot of these happy pilgrims. Great weather conditions, and nice presentation of the architecture, too. I've read a lot about these walking routes, and even have a personal fantasy about doing one of them. But maybe my health isn't quite good enough. We'll see.
Thanks for this delightful burst of colour.
Regards,
Andrew

Hi, Malgorzata.
Nice, colorful, full of that sense of expectation that always precedes a great hike, and this for sure is a major one! Highly dynamic and well presented, TFS! Have a good day, I'll be seeing you.
Fulvio.

Ah Malgorzata!
Ciao,
Donato

Hi Malgorzata,
An interesting combination of these colourful pilgrims and the fine building in the background. But I don´t see any shells, I believed they were part of the property...
We walked along this part in southern France once, but only for about 5 kilometers...
Kind regards
Gunnar
