Photographer’s Note

Un día en el que la idea era hacer una ruta por diversos faros de La Costa de la Muerte, pero una gran masa de niebla los invadió a todos y el frío era notable, menos mal que en otras zonas el sol estaba radiante y con temperaturas superiores a los 20ºC.

Lage (en gallego y oficialmente Laxe) es un municipio español situado en la provincia de La Coruña (Galicia). Pertenece a la comarca de Bergantiños. El Municipio de Laxe se sitúa en el centro de la Costa de la Muerte, en el lado sur de la ría de Corme y Lage, en el litoral de transición entre ésta y la ría de Camariñas.

El Faro de Laxe es un buen ejemplo de la arquitectura civil, fue construído en 1920.

Esta construcción de 11 metros de altura, está ubicada en la punta Ínsua del cabo Laxe, sobre una loma de unos 50 metros sobre el nivel del mar, que defiende la villa y el puerto de los vientos dominantes, en un espacio natural privilegiado.

Location (in Galician Laxe and officially) is a municipality located in the Spanish province of La Coruña (Galicia). Belongs to the region of Bergantiños. Laxe Municipality is at the heart of the Costa de la Muerte, on the south side of the river Corme and location in the transition between the coastal and estuary Camariñas.

Laxe Lighthouse is a good example of civil architecture, was built in 1920.

The building height of 11 meters, is located at the tip of Cape Laxe Insua on a hill about 50 meters above sea level, defending the town and port of the prevailing winds, in a privileged natural environment.

Hola Charo, me gusta mucho el efecto que has conseguido, se siente como la niebla realmente envuelve al faro. Además la luz es realmente interesante, dotando a la imagen de un realismo absoluto.

è la splendida luce a rendere questa foto quasi magica. Un soggetto bello in queste condizioni diventa fantastico.

Ciao cara Charo,
mi piace la dissolvenza nella nebbia del faro, in contrasto con la perfetta visibilità dell'erba in primo piano. Molto belli anche i WS, personalmente preferisco la versione del faro con la persona, ma è solamente un mio parere. La tua foto è piacevole anche senza la persona.

Hi Charo,
I remember I had fog too when I've been there 7 years ago ! Maybe there's always fog there ? lol Here the coming sun creates a very nice atmosphere. The framing is very good and the sharpness is excellent. I find your second workshop on this lighthouse better though.

Hola amiga Charo,
creo que la niebla ha trabajado en positivo en esta toma, porque en lugar de "tapar" el faro, lo acaricia y le da una atmósfera realmente agradable, con un ligero toque de misterio y de meigas.
La sencillez en la composición so conjuga con una buena fuerza gráfica.
El WS 1 tiene un personaje que me suena... y el WS es una vista espectacular con la niebla invadiendo la costa.
Bonito trabajo.

La bruma, rodeando el faro, da una atmósfera muy misteriosa.
A mi, tambien me gusta mucho el ws con la vista horizontal, con una presencia humana.

Hello Charo,
there is not very much to see here due to the fog but a good photographer, like you, can win over the disadvantageous conditions. I find especially interesting how the fog softens the contours of the tower and yet the lights on the left side are really strong. The sharp foreground is very important here since this makes the softening effect of fog sensible.
Perfectly captured, as ususal!
