Photographer's Note
Hello friends and colleagues, today I present this beautiful view of the fishing boats in the Galician town of Finisterre, which are the livelihood of many of its inhabitants, hope you like it, then some letters on the city.
Finisterre (Finisterre in Galician and officially) is a Spanish municipality in the province of La Coruña, in Galicia. Belongs to the region of Finistere. Its name derives from the Latin finis terrae (to Earth).Finisterre's origins lost in the darkness of time, but there is evidence of its existence by the geographical uniqueness of this place that attracted the attention of the Greco-Roman geographers and historians, but the data provided by these lack the rigor of modern historiography. It may be mentioned a paragraph of Lucio Anneo Floro, the late S. I, in which he asserts that Decimus Junius Brutus, after crossing the coast of the ocean as the winner, did not return to contemplate, not without some horror and fear of committing sacrilege, as the sun plunged into the sea and a flame came out of water. This spectacle could be seen from the Mount of Cape Finisterre. According to tradition in this mountain the Romans found an altar to the sun (Ara Solis) built there for the people who inhabited these lands before the romanization. In this mountain are the archaeological remains of Vilar hair that have not yet been excavated or studied, and the hermitage of San Guillermo closely related to the Christianization of a pagan places for fertility rites. Roman Era In the Roman and pre-mixed with objects she found in the parishes of Duio many remains that testify to the existence of a large population [citation needed]. The tribe inhabited these lands nerios and it is likely that in this valley was located Duio its main settlement, known as the city of Dugium [citation needed]. Camino de Santiago Related to the Camino de Santiago or Santiago Road and as the end of it was built the church of Santa Maria das Areas at the end of s. XII, where is the image of Santo Cristo de Finisterre. S Gothic carving. XIV and style similar to Santo Cristo de Burgos and Orense. Opposite the church was the Pilgrim Hospital, founded by Father Alonso Garcia in 1469. It is also the endpoint of the GR-1, long distance footpath that runs between Ampurias (Gerona) and Finisterre. Recently, excavations sponsored by the Department of Culture of the Xunta de Galicia have found large deposits of medieval origin in the San Guillermo Ermida4 showing the flow of pilgrims since medieval times.

Hola Angel,
the colours and composition of this marine image are wonderful and captivating. I like very much the depth and clarity on a moody day and how the boats are placed and oriented enhancing the sense of perspective and making the composition interesting and rich. The homogeneous distant background is lovey and relaxing. You've managed the light and colours in a superb way. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,
Ourania

Hola Angel,
