Photographer’s Note

Ézaro es un pueblo español situado en la provincia de La Coruña y dentro del término municipal de Dumbría, siendo el único pueblo con mar del municipio. Se halla a 105 kilómetros de La Coruña, situada en la zona denominada Costa da Morte, concretamente limitando esta por el sur.

Número de Habitantes (2004):985.
Extensión: 13,2 Km²

Uno de los lugares más singulares y bellos de toda la Costa da Morte. La desembocadura del río Xallas en Ézaro es única en Europa por precipitarse al mar en forma de cascada. La banda izquierda de la desembocadura está flanqueada por la gran barrera montañosa que forma el Monte Pindo, una verdadera e impresionante mole granítica que se eleva 627 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Es famoso porque el color rojizo de sus paredes varía en función de la luz del día. El nombre se debe, al parecer, a la semejanza con el Monte Pindo de Grecia.

Una panorámica del río Xallas en su desembocadura, a la derecha del puente queda la villa y playa de Ézaro y al fondo la pequeña villa de O Pindo. También aunque muy lejos, se ven las dos islas Lobeiras. Vista desde el Mirador de Ézaro.

Ézaro is a village located in the Spanish province of La Coruña and in the district of Dumbría, being the only town with the sea in the municipality. It lies 105 kilometers from La Coruña, in the area known as Coast of the Death, specifically limiting this to the south.

Population (2004): 985h.
Extension: 13.2 Km ²

One of the most unique and beautiful places of the Costa da Morte. The mouth of the river in Xallas Ézaro is unique in Europe by rushing to the sea as a cascade. La banda left of the mouth is flanked by the great mountain barrier which Pindo Mount, a real mole and impressive granite that rises 627 meters above sea level. It is famous because of its reddish walls varies according to the daylight. The name is, apparently, to the similarity with Mount Pindo of Greece.

An overview of Xallas river at its mouth on the right side of the bridge lies the village and beach in the background and Ézaro the small village of O Pindo. But also far away, are the two islands Lobeiras. Seen from the viewpoint Ézaro.

Hey Charo,
You found a great, high POV to overlook the mouth over the river and its rocky banks. There are some really nice details to discover here. :-) Good composition and lighting too.

Merveilleux point de vue et excellente perspective. C'est de toute beauté la rivière qui rencontre la mer et le chemin qui longe la côte pour la traverser et continuer de l'autre côté. Bonne composition, superbes couleurs et intéressante note.

I agree with the other comments, this high POV is wonderful. Seeing the way the river wanders through the land and into the ocean looks spectacular. I especially like the colours, the deep blues of the water, the earthy tones of the land and the spot colour of the little yellow tree at the bottom of frame.
A very enjoyable scene to view, tfs.

Muy buena foto, qué mostra estupendamente el final de este río. El color azúl del río y del mar es hermoso, y las colinas hacen la foto vario. Me gusta más los edifícios pequenos en la playa.

Pero con que buenas fotos nos deleitas, esta es una preciosa composicion, que lugar mas bello, que gran POV desde donde nos la ofreces y despues buena nitidez, gran color, que no te puedo decir nada mas que, Enhorabuena!. Estare un dias si ver ahumentar tu galeria pues mañana me voy a N.Y. por unos dias, a la vuelta nos ponemos al dia.

Me gusta mucho deste lugar tiene una belleza natural que es un regalo para los ojos y para los sentidos. Apenas hay dos cosas que yo no incluiria en la foto: La edificacion en el lado izquerdo y el pabillon en el lado derecho. Hizo un WS sin estes dos puntos.

Tu lo dices, uno de los lugares + bellos. Tu punto de vista es perfecto para apreciar un bello paisaje, con gran amplitud.

Me agrada la composición dada por el recorrido que hace el río desembocando en el mar, y sus magnificas tonalidades.
