Photographer’s Note
Trujillo castle was built by the Moors in the second half of the ninth century, in the highest region of the rocky hill known as "head of Zorro." From its ramparts dominating the whole plain of the earth trujillana. It is an airtight enclosure, surrounded by the walls around a perimeter of 900 meters and being located in a high rugged terrain, makes it inaccessible to attack. It is a castle with no windows and airtight with few loopholes.
Is in intimate relationship with the Citadel (known as Conventual) from Merida, the oldest fortification dating from Islamic Spain (835 AD)
The castle was built with reused blocks of rigging Roman buildings, alternating in their walls and towers in his twenty masonry. This reuse of Roman ashlar is essential to establishing the foundation for military level, prepared in spun stowed bricks and pieces of broken slabs of slate. Typical method of construction in other citadel from the same period in Merida, and Gormaz Agreda in Spain and the Qasr Harani in Palestine.
The castle consists of two parts: the Patio de Armas and Albacara. The floor of the castle and offers two large geometric enclosures adjacent. One is the Patio de Armas, which is part of a slightly irregular quadrangle of 52 m. X S 56.80 E. x 56 N. x 56.20 W., the other, known as executors, how to plant a hexagon 92 x 90.40 m. Access to the first enclosure is a door that opens at noon horseshoe arch, defended by two towers Albarrana, this gate was renovated in the sixteenth century, when the council ordered the April 21, 1531 that the towers the fortress was built a vault to place a granite image to represent the Virgin of Victoria. In 1952 the architect restorer D. José González Valcárcel, he charged towards the N. in order to lift a body building to build a dressing room to the Virgin. Therefore, the N. side now the door is fake and is recently being accepted as authentic only exists on the outside, discovered when removing the old dressing room of the Virgin which was found between the two buckets and behind the Christian barbican, also destroyed when opened back door.
With regard to this must be noted that in terms of their provision are clear parallels East, as in Haraneh Qasr, Qasr al - Hirbat to mafyar Tuba and Qasr al - Hayre Al-Gharbi parallel can not be reduced to the door but pertaining to the scheme of the first floor of this compound and other aspects

Hi Manuel,
What a dramatic deep orange sky! Although the colour-enhanced sky is what makes this photo so memorable, it is also very well composed with towers popping up at different levels within the fore- and background, and excellent sharpness.
Great job!

Hi Manuel,
good use of an orange filter making the sky harmony with the color of the roofs and the castle. An excellent POV for taking this singular architecture.
Well done,
Edi

Manuel, I have to say that I don't like the filter effect on this one. I do like the composition and am writing because what I see here is so often what I feel in the field; I am here, the scene is good but the weather and/or light isn't cooperating. mGood work all the same.

Ciao Manuel!
