Hervas, a Spanish municipality located north of the province of Cáceres, Extremadura, whose capital is the town of the same name. The municipality is located in the foothills of the Sierra de Bejar, in Valle del Ambroz. It is located 123 km from Cáceres and 90 in Salamanca. With over 4000 inhabitants, is the administrative and commercial center of the region of Valle del Ambroz and the most populous municipality in this county. Enjoy mild continental climate with warm summers and cold winters. The village belonged to Bejar until 1816, when he was awarded the title of town. Until 1833 did not belong to the province of Cáceres. The town is famous for its Jewish quarter. Jewish Quarter From the fifteenth century, several Jewish families settle in Hervás.
