Plaza Mayor (central square) of Caceres capital city of the Province located in the region of Extremadura in Spain.
The Plaza Mayor, is a magnificent arcaded square, with approximately 6000 square meters.
Has a past of glare, agricultural market, already the scene of equestrian and views from Bullring, but currently is at the service of thousands of travelers who flock to the city, housing shops, bars and restaurants, and has some historical buildings, the square is the starting point to explore the heart of Cáceres, known as Monumental city has a perfectly preserved medieval centre and was the first city in Spain to be declared a world heritage UNESCO, in 1949, and a world heritage site in 1986.
In the maze of narrow streets hiding palaces, churches and museums centenarians like a magical place like that come out of a movie from medieval times.
