Baños de Montemayor is a municipality located in the province of Cáceres, in the Valle del Ambroz and surrounded by the mountains of Bejar and Candelario.
The village is an important thermal centre since Roman times and its waters have been used since they were discovered in the 2nd century ad due to its excellent medicinal mineral properties
Currently the thermal bathhouse has two buildings of modern facilities, where the pools are deployed in the former Roman baths.
