El puente medieval de Besalú (Girona) constituye sin duda alguna la imagen más popular de la población. Está formado por siete arcos que fueron levantados siguiendo una curiosa disposición angular, motivada probablemente por el aprovechamiento de las rocas del lecho del río como fundación o basamento.

Aunque fue construido originalmente entre los siglos XI y XII, sufrió diversas modificaciones y reformas posteriormente, como la efectuada también en época medieval, en la que posiblemente fuera modificado su trazado, o la realizada en el siglo XIV con motivo de los destrozos ocasionados por una crecida del río, o en el siglo XVII por el mal estado en que se encontraba, ya en el siglo XIX con la destrucción de la torre central para dar paso a la maquinaria industrial, en el siglo XX tras la Guerra Civil, ya que algunos de sus arcos fueron volados, y la última restauración en 1965.

excel.lent vista del pont, en una perspectiva diferent a les que veiem normalment, m'agrada.
La llum és molt adequada i suau i gran entorn de natura. Els colors tenen unes tonalitats molt naturals i creen un fantàstic ambient!

Que coincidencia que estuvimos en Besalu el mismo dia que tu pero 3 y pico horas despues. Un dia metire una foto pero queria dejar a mi marido y a Oscar primero. La luz es muy diferente y tambien bonita porque fue un dia estupendo. Me gusta tu punto de vista desde el otro puento. Asi se puedo ver el pueblo.

Such a beautiful image of a charming place! Everything is clear and the colours well saturated. The composition is very effective with the line of the bridge connected to the town that divides nearly half the photo.
