Le pont romain (XI siècle) menant à Besalú dans la region de Girona, a ne pas rater lors de votre prochaine visite dans cette superbe regiuon
Au moyen age un péage existait pour les voyageurs, voulant croiser le pont, mais aujourd'hi vous pouvez le traverser sans frais ;-)

Besalú is an historical-artistic medieval whole, one of the most well-preserved in Catalonia. It includes the old Iglesia del Monasterio de Sant Pere from the 12th century, It serves to show up the originality of the Iglesia del Sant Vicenç from the XII, where lateral Gothic chapel devoted to the Vera Creu; the façade of the old church Iglesia Hospital de Sant Julià from the 12th century; the house of Cornellà, Gothic building of the Creuera Reial. It stand outs the Jewish Call with the most important building, unique in its genre and the third European building: the Miqvé.
The Miqvé or building of Jewish purifying bathts. Besalú is the only area of Jewish ritual baths in the Iberian Peninsula. It is a stone house with a quadrant vault, typical Romanic, from the 12th century. You can arrive at the underground Mikwé by going down a stone stairs to the place of the religious rites. One of the most well-known rite was the purifying women's bath after the menstrual period, used by jews in remote times.
Finally, you can find the Romanic bridge over the river Fluvià. It is the vestige of big towns that together with Barcelona, Ripoll and the Bisbat de Girona, originated the Catalan nationality. A medieval athmosphere with streets full of memories.

Hi Toni,

I had to look a bit longer at this one to get used to the darkness in the shaded spots. But it works well for me! There is still more than enough visible and there is no noise visible in the shaded parts. Nice how the light hits the tower. And also a good note.

Ah, there you are with your D300 ;-) A clear and bright image with dark tones but still lots of detail. I love that glow of sunlight what hits the towers, it makes the whole image much more interesting and bring life in to the image. The two people add nice perspective for scaling, but also that dark blue water with reflection, really wonderful. Looks like a beautiful area, at least for taking pictures.

Hello Toni,
Possibly the tower is a little too much in the centre, otherwise there is nothing to complain about in this immaculate composition. Great sharpness, well saturated colours, beautiful reflections in the water. One tiny detail actually draws my attention most of all: the two little people walking on the road. They make this picture remind me of an 18th century etching of Roman ruins where there always seems to be a herdsman or a traveller added to bring life to the picture.

Por cierto, tenéis que venir ya otra vez. Por aquello de hacer otra visita al pantano de Sau porque con la lluvia que lleva cayendo en un par de días sería una visita de lo más curioso e interesante...

J'étais au début réticente quant à la lumière qui partait mais tu as réussi une magnifique image en donnant une équilibre parfaite entre les zones ombragées et éclairées. Le ciel et son reflet sont bien bleus et les 2 personnes apportent beaucoup.

Un excellent point de vue pour nous présenter ce point antique !Il est splendide sous cette lumière magique. Tu as attendu le bon moment avant de saisir ce monument. Les reflets ajoutent une très bonne profondeur à cette image.

me encanta esta foto de esta pueblecito que tiene un encanto sin igual. Conozco bien sus callejas anitguas.
