Photographer's Note

Tossa de Mar is one of the Costa Brava´s busiest summer resorts; still, it retains a good deal of its charm, largely because of the survival of its fortified old town, "Vila Vella", founded on a headland by the Abbot of Ripoll in 1186. The sight of Tossa´s medieval walls rising above the beach is one of the most enduring images of the Catalan coast. Within the walls is a warren of narrow and very romantic streets, reached by a fairly easy climb.
At the heart of the old town, the "Museu Municipal", in the former Abbot´s palace, displays archaeological finds and modern art, including a painting by Marc Chagall, who stayed hre in 1934.
There is a small sheltered beach (soon to be posted pic)directly below the museum, but most people stick to the main beach, "Platja Gran", or follow the promenade to its northern end to reach "Platja Mar Menuda".
Tossa de Mar is one of the crown jewels of the gorgeous Costa Brava.

Excellent colors and framing! I would only have liked to see the shutter speed you took this photograph, cause I think a little more sharpness could make it even better. Good job!

The view is very nice Jorge. Pity the cars in the right hand. i also think your green frame is not very adapted to the colours. but it's personal. The composition is very nice. All seem quiet.

Here they are, the Tossa photos ! Shooting time is excellent there to create a contrast between warm and cold colors, the place is also great with the castle being a very attractive subject, pity the sharpness is not up to what we'd expect, wish you'll have other opportunities to shoot there in the future !

Hi Jorge, I have been there once in springtime, before the many tourists came, many years ago, but I remember this old town very well.
I like the nightshot very much, it's a very warm yellow light, and the dark trees form a nice contrast.
I'm not so fond of your frame, though. But I guess that's rather personal.

Just yesterday I was in Tossa to spend the day. It's a nice place with nice small beaches. it's a nice view of the old town by night. I like the colors. Thanks
