Photographer’s Note

A very simple picture for a Sunday's post. Just a Mediterranean pine, bent to the blue Mediterranean sea. The picture continues the theme of this post. It was taken during a hike along the coast of Costa Brava in Catalonia, a region famous for its pines... and its sea:)

Picture was taken from a higher ground with a telescopic zoom lens. Scanned from printed photo.

pleasing shot from a nice POV. The tree is a bit centered and Id love to see the horizon I think, maybe even a boat there somewhere if possible. Pleasing colors however. Looks like a place Id love to go and see.

This is a wonderful composition, with just the right POV to put the tree in the best spot relative to earth and sea. Fabulous use of light too, with the brightest sparkles on the sea balanced by the gold of the sand at the opposite corner. This is quite superb all around

A well composed image; I like the fact that the sky isn't visible, although perhaps you could have made more of the shadow of the tree by moving the tree further to the right of the frame.
Its a nice simple image, I like the atmosphere that it conveys.

What a lovely shot! The colours are outstanding, the sharpness and contrast is perfect, lights are very good. I love the composition with tree and the clear blue sea in the background.

Hi Alexander,
A simple but effective shot. The tree really has character and is casting a good shadow. The yellow grasses nicely cloak the foreground and base of the tree, with the alluring sea beyond. Well seen and captured.

Verry nice mediterranean view.The tree, inlined by the wind, is maybe too much in the center but looks great.Verry nice colors and I like the track following the cliff.
