Photographer’s Note

Sitges is a coastal town about 40 km south of Barcelona. During summer months it is loaded with tourists who enjoy its sun, warm mediterranean waters and vivid nightlife.

Its landmark is the church by the sea. Concerning architecture, I found it much more pleasant and well-kept than its neighbouring villages. Its small, narrow streets, with white washed houses and flowered windows and balconies, make it nice for a stroll. The streets on the "old town" are packed with shops and cafes and most of them are opened during siesta time.

Hello Alexandra! What a nice vacation mood full of blue skies and sunshine, and I like that you included the umbrellas and sailing boats but also showing the church in the back and that you left plenty of blue giving us this wonderful feeling of sitting at the beach and do nothing but enjoy the sun. Wonderful colours and composition of this shot of Sitges. It has a great feeling of summer. But maybe a bit too much sharpening, which can be seen especially around the masts of the yachts and the umbrellas.

hello Alexandra,
I agree with Andrew that the sharpening is just on the edge of being overdone :) because of that there's some noise in the sky, but that can easily be corrected.
other than that - excellent photo, I like a lot the bright light that I've always associated with the Mediterranean coast. the composition with the church just in the right place works well, and red/yellow sails add a nice colour accent. very nice work, my compliments.

This capture has a fine composition of great view to show the beach scene and so many sailboats in strong colorful contrast. I like your placement of the building and tower at left side and showing a great space of blue sky. tfs
