Sitges, una ciudad moderna que ha conservado importantes referencias medievales y de la antigua villa de campesinos y pescadores, ofrece al visitante un patrimonio arquetectónico y cultural imponente, fruto de la iniciativa de artistas, dinamizadores culturales y mecenas, como Santiago Rusiñol, Ramón Casas, Miquel Utrillo o Charles Deering. Gracias a ellos, Sitges fue un lugar de referencia para escritores, músicos y otros intelectuales y se convirtió en un importante centro de difusión del Modernismo y de los "americanos" que, al volver con "fortuna" de la aventura americana encargaron grandes mansiones a arquitectos modernistas y novencentistas.

Los museos, las rutas guiadas o los paseos por el casco antiguo permiten visitar y revivir este importante legado.

Ese impulso de creatividad ha hecho posible la creación de nuevos proyectos, como el Rally Internacional de Coches de Época, el Festival Inernacional de Cine, el Festival Internacional de Jazz o el Ciclo de Conciertos de Verano.

Sitges cuenta con 17 playas de arena fina. Cuatro playas al este, la primera la de les botigues, junto a las playas de Castelldefels, y siguiendo la costa del Garraf (C-31) se encuentran las 3 restantes. Once playas urbanas y dos en el oeste, de difícil acceso.

Todas las playas orientales y urbanas disponen de pasarelas, banderas indicadoras del estado del mar y la mayoría de diploma.

Thanks to them, Sitges was a place of reference for writers, musicians and other intellectuals and became an important centre for dissemination of Modernism and the "Americans" who, when they came back with "fortune" of the American adventure commissioned a large mansions Modernist architects and novencentistas.

The museums, guided tours and walks through the old town and give access to revive this important legacy.

That momentum of creativity has enabled the creation of new projects, such as the International Rally of vintage cars, Inernacional Film Festival, the International Jazz Festival or the Cycle Summer Concerts.

Sitges has 17 sandy beaches. Four beaches in the east, the first of them botiga alongside the Castelldefels beach, and along the coast of Garraf (C-31) are the remaining 3. Eleven beaches and two in the west, not easily accessible.

All the eastern and urban beaches have walkways, flags indicating the state of the sea and most diploma.
