Details of Montserrat's mountain Photo

Photographer’s Note

The origin of the monastic life in Montserrat's mountain goes back to the century IX. Two centuries later the abbot Oliba founded a small sanctuary to produce worship to the image of Our Lady of Montserrat.

The spirituality and the religious life of the Benedictine friars of Montserrat are very joined to the nature of the mountain. It is impossible to visit Montserrat without to think hermitages, sanctuaries, crossings or pilgrims who come to the mountain to venerate the image of the Virgin.

Besides the religious aspect, Montserrat's mountain is an ideal place to practise paths, climbing and photography of nature.
The paths opened among the walls of calcareous conglomerates and the rocky needles are a few times straightened, others plain, in some places they pass for an agreeable small forest and in others they draw lots you scarp rocky and stony hillsides.
Walking along Montserrat's summits always is an enterteining and stimulant activity discovering forms of objects and animals in the rocky formations.

In the photography realized in the zone of the Agulles (Needles), we prune to estimate " The Cadireta " (it would be something like " The small Chair ") and " The Foradada " (" The Pierced one ").

In the WS I show you a more general plane of the wonderful Serralada de Montserrat.

El origen de la vida monacal en la montaña de Montserrat se remonta al siglo IX. Dos siglos después el abad Oliba fundó un pequeño santuario para rendir culto a la imagen de Nuestra Señora de Montserrat.

La espiritualidad y la vida religiosa de los frailes benedictinos de Montserrat están muy unidas a la naturaleza de la montaña. Es imposible visitar Montserrat sin encontrar ermitas, santuarios, cruces o peregrinos que acuden a la montaña para venerar la imagen de la Virgen.

Además del aspecto religioso, la montaña de Montserrat es un lugar ideal para practicar senderismo, escalada y fotografía de naturaleza.
Los senderos abiertos entre las paredes de conglomerados calcáreos y las agujas rocosas son unas veces empinados, otras llanos, en algunos lugares discurren por un agradable bosquecillo y en otros sortean escarpes rocosos y laderas pedregosas. Caminar por las cumbres de Montserrat siempre es una actividad divertida y estimulante descubriendo formas de objetos y animales en las formaciones rocosas.

En la fotografía realizada en la zona de las Agulles (Agujas), podemos apreciar "La Cadireta" ( sería algo así como " La pequeña Silla" ) y " La Foradada" ( "La Agujereada").

Interesting composition, that gives a strong abstract impact!
Great colour palette that makes the shapes stand out well, and the bright blue sky makes a fine background...

Tu composición es sencilla y a la vez muy eficaz.
Me gusta mucho los colores de la piedra y se puede ver a sus detallas, merced a la nitidez de tu foto.

El POV utilizado es favorable para permitirnos apreciar una magnifica obra de la naturaleza.

Esta formación rocosa, realza toda la composición de la escena, con sus formas caprichosas. Los destellos de luz que recibe, hacen reflejar unas tonalidades propias y llenas de matices. La amplitud que le has dado al cielo esta muy equilibrada.

Olá Jordi,

muito bonita formação rochosa. Gosto de ver essas rochas à direita na imagem, contracenando com o azul plano do céu. Incrível como tenha conseguido esse tom de azul único em toda sua extensão. Talvez aqui um filtro polarizador tivesse danificado esse bonito visual. O formato quadrado só teve a ajudar a realçar toda essa beleza. Ótima apresentação. Parabéns!

Una foto molt bonica de la nostra muntanya emblemàtica de Montserrat. Amb imaginació veig un camell que tu un forat triangular a sota de la jepa, jejeje. Es formen coses molt diverses amb les roques tan originals que te tota la muntanya.
Es una bona foto ben vista amb molt contrast i color. Una bona feina.

bona feina divulgativa de l'espectacular bellesa i les capritxoses formes de la muntanya de Montserrat. Aquesta imatge amb el pla centrat precisament en les formes que ens ofereix la roca, sota una llum càlida amb bones ombres, un enquadrament asimètric i el cel blau de fons, és senzillament fantàstica, plena de grafisme i de plasticitat.
Ben feta, és una composició molt atractiva a la vista. I el WS és magnífic.

Belle photo de ces rochers pris depuis l' abbay de Monserat je crois, bien prise, montre bien les détails des strasses, de l' effets qu' on eu le vent et l' eau sur ces roches.
