Sigo con las imágenes del Maresme. Después del pequeño pueblo de Montgat, hoy me centro en la ciudad que es la capital de esta comarca, Mataró. Es una ciudad viva, en transformación constante y con un patrimonio cultural importante que la dota de personalidad propia. Su privilegiada situación geográfica -por un lado el mar y por el otro la Serralada Litoral- hace que las condiciones climáticas de Mataró sean idóneas para disfrutar de la ciudad.
La ciudad de Mataró tiene el privilegio de tener su origen en la época romana. La valiosa herencia de esta época se manifiesta en la villa romana de Torre Llauder, de finales del siglo I A.C., y en los últimos hallazgos en el núcleo antiguo. Paseando por las calles del centro de la ciudad se puede hacer un recorrido ágil por su historia, un recorrido desde la antigua ILURO romana que nos permite disfrutar, también, del barroco, encontrar influencias arquitectónicas coloniales y contemplar una muestra destacada del modernismo de la mano de uno de sus máximos representantes: el arquitecto de nacido en esta ciudad, Josep Puig i Cadafalch.

La ciudad está a 29 Km al nordeste de Barcelona, tiene una población de 116.000 habitantes, su término municipal tiene una superficie de 22,50 Km2 y el casco urbano 8 Km2, y su altura es de 27,45 m.

Esta foto nos muestra una puerta, que quiero simbolizar como la entrada a esta nueva ciudad. Es la puerta del Museo Archivo de Santa María. Junto con la casa contigua, antiguamente formaba una Masía de tres cuerpos llamada Can Seguí. Es del S. XVI.

En el WORKSHOP se puede ver el edificio donde está la puerta y el Museo.

I follow with the images of the Maresme. After the small town of Montgat, today me center in the city that is the capital of this region, Mataró. It is an alive city, in constant transformation and with an important cultural patrimony that it equips it with own personality. Its privileged geographic situation - by a side the sea and the other the Coastal Serralada - causes that the climatic conditions of Mataró are suitable to enjoy the city.
The city of Mataró has the privilege to have its origin at the Roman time. The valuable inheritance of this time is pronounced in the Roman village of Torre Llauder, of end of century I B.C., and in the last findings in the old nucleus. Taking a walk by the streets of downtown an agile route by its history can be done, a route from the old Roman ILURO that allows us to enjoy, also, of the baroque one, to find architectonic influences colonial and to contemplate an outstanding sample of the modernismo of the hand of one of its maximum representatives: the architect of born in this city, Josep Puig i Cadafalch.

This photo shows a door to us, that I want to symbolize like the entrance to this new city. It is the door of the Museo Archivo de Santa Maria. Along with the contiguous house, formerly it formed a Masía of three bodies called Can Segui. It is of the S. XVI.

In the WORKSHOP the building can be seen where it is the door and the Museum.
