Meet Tony, a trombone player in the La Ribera district of Barcelona.
As I was sitting in the morning sun, enjoying a cortado and croissant, Tony would periodically stepped out of the Born Café for a smoke. The combination of this very attractive and macho Spanish man in his white shirt and blue jeans with the curl of smoke set against the red, yellow, green and stone background was way too much for me to be able to resist!
This is one shot in a small series I took of him. The last one shows him with an "Are you taking a photograph of me?!" grin on his face.
A moment later he came over to my table and gave me his card so I could send him copies of the shots I'd taken :)

so, such kind of effects the mediterranean sun must have on visiting ladies (have you seen "guapo" by delpeoples?)
i cannot comment on the irresistability of this man, but i appreciate your efforts to capture the colors surrounding him, and his efforts for requesting the copies of his portraits ;)

Irresistible? But he has no hair! :-)
But the white smoke looks fine against the black, and the colors surrounding him look good too in the Spanish sun.

Hi Kristin. He seems to have an introspective look, no doubt visualizing in full technicolour how his lungs are benefiting from the tobacco smoke.good luck to him. A good opportunistic capture. Regards. Klaudio.

I simply like this shot and I admire your courage to take such. Men, in general are lovely subjects too. But I find kinda hard to take a photo of them for reasons I cannot fully explain...or of them becoming not too conscious. Nice portrait :-)

Cooeeeee! Hold me back! This fella is some serious hot Latino hunka hunka burnin love. Love how you got him smoking too and I LOVE his bald head. Jeez, think I'll go have a cigarette now! Great capture, Tony should be delighted.
Have a happy day
