[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
El Santuario de Queralt se encuentra en la cima de la Sierra de Queralt en Berga, (Barcelona). Está situado a una altura de 1200 metros. Por su peculiar ubicación se le ha llamado el 'balcón de Cataluña'. La amplitud de su paisaje y las sensaciones que provoca justifican su visita. La actual iglesia es un edificio construido en el siglo XVIII. Originariamente habia un monumental retablo barroco realizado por Pere Costa que fué destruido en 1936. El templo es de estilo renacentista y está compuesto por una nave central y dos laterales.
La portalada que da acceso al templo es obra del arquitecto Josep A. Coderch (1966) que efectuó una restitución muy simple pero muy acertada a la funcionalidad original del edificio.

The Shrine of Queralt is at the crest of the Sierra de Queralt in Berga, (Barcelona). It is located at an altitude of 1200 meters. For its unique location has been called the 'balcony of Catalonia'. The breadth of its landscape and the feelings it causes justify his visit. The current church is a building built in the eighteenth century. Originally had a monumental baroque altarpiece made by Pere Coast that was destroyed in 1936. The temple is Renaissance style and is composed of a nave and two side.
The front that gives access to the temple is the work of architect Josep A. Coderch (1966) undertook a restoration that very simple but very accurate to the original functionality of the building

Bones Carme,
impressionant lloc el Santurari de Queralt, un lloc que sens dubte cal visitar!!
Suposo que el dia era gris i plujós i per això hi ha una fina capa com un tèl a la façana del santuari. Però el POV m'agrada, ja que és una clara invitació a visitar el lloc, amb la porta principal al centre de la imatge, i tenim una interessant perspectiva arquitectònica!!
