A scary forest... Photo

Photographer’s Note

As I told you in my 2 of my previous posts, I went to a TE-meeting with Sergio and Carlos.

That day, we followed the tracks of the Romanesque art in Catalonia but we did an stop in the Santa Maria of Queralb's Sanctuary.

There, the fog was everywhere and we couldn't see each other, in some places, when were 5 or 6 metres of separation between us.

This picture is an example of how the atmosphere was that there. Really scary, that's true, but enjoyable.

fog always create a mystic atmosphere in photo and here you captured it well, my friend. silhoueted trees here makes us wonder what is hidden in there!

Hi Oscar. Nice photo. I like the surreal atmosphere created by the fog and forest. The slope on the right adds a strong diagonal element to the composition also. Thanks for sharing.

Hello, Oscar--

The atmosphere is certainly very nice, but i'm not a huge fan of the framing. i think that what throws me off the most is the little dark triangle of ground in the bottom right. i feel like this would be a stronger piece with either no ground showing, leaving probably a slightly more mysterious feel if you could pull it off (you'd probably need stronger foreground interest to succeed like that, though) or include the ground farther across the bottom of the frame. Maybe a profile format would work well, even.

Para mi, la composición está algo descompensada. Pero ya sabes como funciona esto: oh, qué fabuloso, qué cielo, qué niebla, qué bonitos colores, qué...

Por cierto, una lástima que la niebla no hiciera que te perdieras.

Beautiful photo. The autumnal fog creates a dramatic atmosphere indeed and makes this picture almost a mystical photo. I love the feeling which this photo gives ... Well done!

Not so sure it looks to scary Oscar - but it is a good capture from the forest in the low light and the dense mist. A fine mood and effectful by your choice of the low pov

ya veo que dio de si vuestra excursion por la Catalunya profunda je je je, ciertamente da un poco de impresion, pero como comentas en tu nota, para los urbanos, o camakus, como nosotros je je je, un lugar realmente precioso y para disfrutarlo.

quin ambient boirós i humid el d'aquell dia. Ben captat, el podem notar des de casa. M'agrada el grafisme dels arbres, només la seva verticalitat gosa desafiar la boira.

La foto tiene un gran fallo, vamos un enorme garrafal que te va a costar mucho compensar...
Mi mujer que??? eh??? Ni la mencionas, tio te acabas de ganar una enemiga muy peligrosa. Ya verás ya.
Por otro lado tengo que reirme con el tono sarcatico de carlitos.
Tengo buen recuerdo de ese dia.

Impressive shot. The atmosphere is amazing and the pp work has delivered a great mood to the picture. The foreground land included is not a big issue for me and I don't think it detracts from the main subject of the towering trees. Good sharpness and detail. Great work.

This is a great atmospheric capture Oscar. You have made an excellent feature of the weather conditions we usually try to avoid. I love how the darkness of the trees fae as we look into the forest.

Really nice foggy environment, in this well chose perspective, with a justifiable title. Well chose exposure opening to catch the nearer trees (with fine definition) and let the far trees out of focus.

Hola Oscar,

Una imagen que últimamente es muy típica en TE, y no lo digo porque no me guste, pero es la época, el otoño, la lluvia, la niebla... siempre me ha gustado el efecto que crea la niebla antes mencionada en los bosques, es algo mágico y misterioso, en esta ocasión me gusta el resultado, aunque yo hubiese probado una composición en formato vertical, en fin, gran fotografía amigo, ten un buen inicio de semana.

Muy buena foto, la niebla cubriendo los arboles se ve misteriosa e interesante. Me gusta tu composicion, quizas hubiera utilizado una foto vertical para incluir la tierra en la parte izquierda, de todas maneras esta estupenda.

never tired of looking at( Or taking ) pictures of trees in the fog. I just love them, I enjoy the fact that the ones in the front are dark while they become lighter away.
