This is a shot from El Maresme Forum, Barcelona. It is a follow on shot in some ways form a previous posting of this location (called Desolation Row in my gallery). These two teenage dirt bags were the two guys sitting at the end of the road in the previous post.
Song of the same name in my title here:
Anyways - just a quick grab shot as they skated by in this desolate place.

Hello Michael, very interesting image here. Good moment caught here, especially the skater in the right gives a motion sense to the composition. Good contrast. Well done.

Hi Michael, nothing is usual in your Barcelona and this is another magnificent example, magnificent geomteric perspective where the 2 boys give us the exact dimensions of the place, very high contrast and sharpness to have the best effect from there,i like it! Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hi Mike - I think I have finally lost the plot. I was bemused by your title which I originally read as Dirty Teabags I wasn't convinced that the squares on the roof looked that much like teabags although with the perforations they look similar! Isn't it weird how words and visuals get muddled and out pops something quite bizarre? Anyway, enough of that. A shot where the geometrics and excellent play of light make a marvelous visual impact, add the two figures and you have a super DL shot. Warm regards Rosemary

The graphism of this composition is super cool! The b&w was a great option to make it more visitable and eye-catching. Excellent capture! TFS!

une très belle photo N&B, les contrastes sont superbes.
J'aime bien le graphisme de cette construction et la présence des deux jeunes.

Good to meet you Michael!
I totally agree with you about your intro,TE could be a bit more free and less restricted,so it a relive to see all your different subjects and ideas, and you are a brave man to make osme B&W as well ;=]
I think you have a good eye for composition.
Cheers from The Netherlands.

The geometric patterns have a great impact, both for their pattern and their sense of perspective. I just love how the light is shining through adding further tones to the pattern.
The 'dirtbags' (I had to look this up to make sure I had the correct interpretation - first recorded use 1967) animate the shot and add strength to the composition.
My warm regards,

wonderful use of B&W and POV to get impact and such an original image. I love the human interest here it adds scale and balance to the composition, you never disappoint me with your creativity. Excellent!

Stunning photo, Michael, with the slanting structure towering up over the skaters and you. You did well to capture them sharply with a shutter speed that's not ideal for this kind of shot. I like the sharpness of the details in the structure, and the tonality.
My only suggestion here is that you upload a slightly smaller high-res shot. I have a 24" monitor and even in full screen mode I can't see the whole thing in the browser. It's the kind of shot that loses its power when you have to scroll. With 1080 pixels of vertical screen space (less on many laptops)you probably have to keep a shot of this orientation down to about 900 pixels, maybe a bit less. One of the bugbears of these wide-screen monitors!

Technical is your picture perfect taken.
Black and white is a choice of the photographer, not immediate my style but I looks absolutely with a great value to these picture
Also a very nice choice of your angle this cares for depth and perspective.
Excellent composition, lovely presentation.
Very well done, TFS.

I will be singing that for the rest of the day...
I like this shot though, I hesitate to use the phrase futuristic, but this does kind of bring those thoughts to mind. We see two normal kids, doing a normal thing but in a very strange and space like structure. Another great choice for black and white too.

Wow, another great pattern, abstract keep em coming. You manage to see the most amazing patterns in the world around you. The vertical crop shows its height so much better for the more towering look and puts it in perspective and seems to enhance the squares by echoing the shape in the format. Wonderful the way the shadows develop as they approach the foreground. You have a superb eye for detail, indeed amazing structure and great subject matter providing wonderful graphical - abstract forms. Congrats

Perfect presence of geometry here! You captured it very well and the B&W treatment added more interest on the image. Nice. :-)

A remarkable b/w image with loads of your signature graphic qualities. Bitingly sharp with the two skateboarders adding a human element to the rigid lines of the structure.
Kind Regards, Ann

You did there one photo at a time but also a very graphic picture of original street. Congratulations and well done!.

another very cool looking scene.
it has that 3D like quality to it.
that ceiling or roof really takes center stage and dwarfs everything else in its way.
love the post processing and monochrome too, it all seems to work so well.
