Another in my little series of reflection shots of Barcelona. The tree like shape above the passers by is the distinct facade of a building on Passeig de Gracia just over the street on the opposite side from La Pedrera.
The facade itself has appeared many times on TE - Siudzi and JFS have posted shots of it since it has wave like patterns and lends itself to pattern and abstract style shots as a subject. I too took shots like that but given their pre-existence on TE I thought I would look for alternative POV's beneath the facade in the very glitzy shop window - they got a little annoyed with me standing around the doorway half in and half out blocking the entrance until these two guys were right in the frame but I just ignored them and then said "No habla espanyol"!

another symetric image, the iron sculpture looks like a boat hull!

another clever and immaculate observation shot this. Love the light and the reflection is all the more effective having some human interest. Wonderful!

I like the perfect symmetry of this picture! Really a very nice and original POV to show it differently! Excellent colors and sharpness! Great composition! Very good job!

I have to applaud your ability to make these reflection shots so perfectly central, if I ever try these, you can always tell which is the real side and which is reflected, but not in your amazing eye confusing shot here. Perhaps my head is too big and I cannot get close enough to the surface? Brilliant result on this, really nicely done.
All the best

Yes, you have grown a metal tree in the centre of your shot - now that is original!
Another great reflective shot from the city of modernia!
My warm regards,

Beautiful scene in Barcelone with amazing reflections. Great artwork, I like it!

Amazing architectural detail and a shot worth incurring the wrath of others to capture. With most mirror image shots the 'mirror' side is immediately obvious because of distortion but here, without the sign over the newsagent, it would be almost impossible to determine the original from the reflection.

Here's another cool reflection. :-) This one has the added bonus of that bit of architecture near the top. It almost resembles a plant that is flowering. Once again I like the symmetry, and also the play of light and shadows on the ground. It's too bad that some people got annoyed, but we must do whatever necessary for the best shot. ;-)

Hi Michael. A great photo. The composition and the reflection is excellent. The art work and the people here are a winning combination. Really well seen and presented.

More or less perfect reflection. Those steel arches make a very nice looking symmetric form. You have exact timing with the guys passing by.
abmdsudi (32685) 2013-10-05 9:35
This is indeed an excellent creation of the 'twin' images. I do like the symmetry here the 'tree' increases in height towards the viewer and your attention to detail shines through. Lovely specks of red tend to pull the eyes in. It's well seen and just shows that you can find interesting photo if you look around with tuned-in eyes. Fantastically and creatively thought out, Congrats.

awesome story, its funny how often we get told to 'move along', I can't even count how many times security personelle have approached me.
for sure this is a Juan type of photo, certainly in his style.
love the shapes and curves at the top, but for me the double reflection has to steal the show.
excellent work again
didn't receive any emails, must not be working on your end

I canīt remember now neither Juanīs nor Gosiaīs photos of this building(will have to take a look at their galleries later),but your vision of it is for me brilliant. But just brilliant is definitely not enough here, just like the only two points I can give you for this masterpiece.
Great to have such photos here on TE!

I've missed this shot but it's extremely creative and original! Really impressive one based on the perfectly executed idea of the mirror effect. Inspiring work! Bravo!
