Good Morning all - another in a series of reflections from Barcelona that I will upload over the next few days or so.
Juan (JFS) took me to see a bus station being constructed in a place called Glories, Barcelona. It is a huge open space except for a giant circular flyover for traffic, which reminded me of Spaghetti Junction on the M6 near Birmingham. Apparently the whole thing is being demolished with the roads being moved underground and the area will then be landscaped.
As part of the initial phases of that development they were building a brand new bus station. Bus stations are usually such dreary places. However, this is Barcelona! The underside of the giant canopy that provides a roof for the bus terminal is a multi-angled, multi faceted mirror that has a golden tint to it and it reflects light back very strongly as well as providing some amazing reflections. Juan and I spent a good half hour or so taking shots of the reflections. The only thing stopping me uploading some of them is that they contain reflections of Juan and I and that's against the TOS on TE! Anyway, I will upload those that came out ok.

Hi Michael, this is a top class pic! What a great capture, the bright red of this car is perfect to create the best optical impact, very high contrast and excellent exposure,i like a lot the big frame too,a very original work, and it's nice to watch something of different...ehehe...have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

how awesome is that!
for some reason we don't often see cars in these reflection shots, its usually other buildings, boats or perhaps people, but rarely other cars.
love how the car is broken up into stages, and of course having it RED was by far the best choice for the grey bg.

Looks like that car is melting under the heat of the sun. Funny observation, enjoy a good weekend.

We get almost an aquarelle painting to see through the wonderful reflections in water.
Colours and presentation are very lovely.
Very well composition, lovely captured.
Nice done, TFS.

Another playful Barcelona picture, Mike. Great bubbly, water-like effect. In photography, most modern cars deserve a fair degree of distortion.
Enjoy your weekend.

A really well composed shot with good lines and a strongly positioned focal image.
My first impression was that the car was under water; it has the distortion created by refracted light entering water. Now that would be a 'different' shot.
Have a great w/e,

I love the way you've composed this picture with graphical lines, light, shadows and an irresistible red. The effect of the light on the brightness of the grey backdrop and most of all on the liveliness of the red is marvellous. There's a fine play of diagonals too and the texture of the glass is fantastic. I like very much how the black lines, although wiggling, are not interrupted while the car looks like decomposing. Your work with lighting and contrast management is excellent. Congratulations and thank you!
Maybe the keeping of TOS is resilient these days, as the pictures with nothing but reflections are not being removed. You could also post the pictures of Juan's and your reflections in a workshop.
All the best, have a great weekend,

bellissimo particolare, un occhio ben allenato e attento.
Probabilmente io avrei scelto di escludere la parte nera in alto, ma questo non vuol dire che la mia scelta era migliore.

The vivid red car agaisnt the grey tones make s a powerful image. Love the distorted reflection very much. It reminds me a little of a picture that I posted from Hong Kong although I like yours much better.
Kind Regards, Ann

A visually stunning shot and spectacular reflections, with the stinging vivid orange even a blind person would be dazzled by it. It brightens up the day for sure and well oriented this way, the grid lines features have really worked as both draw my eyes which don't let loose. You nailed the shot delightfully, Congrats.
