The torre gas naturale in Barcelona provides a million opportunities for photographers to reflect upon the surrounding area!
Juan sent me some images of this tower via email - it seems he was there with Kirstin Fellowes the other day so I thought I would upload one of my own that I was saving for the back catalogue in winter!

superb shot this. So much to look at, almost a jigsaw! I love your crop and the clever split is both effective and tantalising. Original as always, beautifully captured and presented. Stunning!

Such a shot! Unbelievable reflections on the mirror like segments.and with great contrast to the blue reflections on the glass panels. Very original and thought provoking shot Michael.

for me it´s a building of million faces!Look, how many pictures of the Gas building we´ve already seen here on TE and nevertheless every next photo looks original and creative(for me another good reason to visit Barcelona next year:)
And regarding your composition-I really like your idea to present it in such close-up!These distortions on the right create really amazing, abstract visual effect!
Superb shot, that works on our imagination!
Have a nice evening

My first thought seeing this was the crown of the statue of liberty, it has that vibe, but of course with the added bonus of being reflective and having such a wonderful city to reflect too. Very creative view of this building, I love it.

I like very much the way you focused on this detail of the building and how closely knit the patterns are while, at the same time, the left and the right side look like two different pictures. The reflections of the light and of fragments of the surrounding environment are delightful and intriguing. The naturalness of the details and colours on the right side is striking and the hint of the interior on the left side adds another dimension to the puzzle. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a good night,

This is a wonderful, evocative shot.
Not only are the reflections powerful but the composition is such that it cries out to be viewed!
Another very 'different' shot.
Have a great week,

Barcelona is a Mecca of architecture, and I'm glad that you've found a mission of showing your own view of these masterpieces. That caleidoscope like view of street life is fascinating and cool blues on the left complements it well.
This is one of the new buildings I didn't know of, it was fun to look more info of it in the net.

Great reflections! Each shard on the right is like a photo in itself. There are different details in each piece, along with the lovely blue glass on the left. I like these kinds of views that have a bit of surrealism to them. It is like looking into reality on the left, and a kaleidoscope on the right...

I can understand how this place in Barcelona can provide amillion opportunities for compositions like this with fabulous reflections. But only if the photographer has the mind and the eye to recognise those opportunities! You certainly have both. Whereas most of us just look, you not only look but also see and that is why you come up with these wonderful pictures.
This is a lovely graphic image which demonstrates so very much more detail and crispness in its larger version on "beta" TE. Your composition is excellent and lots of details are perfectly seen in all the "segments" of the image. Lovely light, fine vibrant colours and exquisite details and sharpness.

Love this Mike when each fragment shows a different view of scene nearby and move just a foot either way and you get a completely different set of images. Isn't it wonderful the way glass plays with reflections, patterns and reflections in this and this looks as though you've deliberately muddled them all up. It is wonderful and your alertness, well spotted in the first instance, Smashing!!

C'est une prise de vue très originale, avec deux parties bien différentes. J'ai vu cet immeuble cet été mais j'étais en voiture. Il présente de très belles possibilités photographiques. Barcelone est une ville à l'architecture magnifique.
