Photographer's Note

The Sant Joan de Gràcia church is located in the Gràcia district of Barcelona, built in 1878-1888. The church and its beautiful surroundings of the Plaça de la Virreina are a great example of a fantastic architecture of the Gràcia.

to miejsce na szczescie znam:)
piekna kompozycja,gdzie wszystkie elementy ze soba swietnie wsoplgraja.Znakomita ostrosc,swiatlo oraz piekne zywe kolory.Kontrast jest rowniez super(szczegolnie zielen pieknie tutaj kontrastuje z reszta kompozycji).

Un cadrage classique mais efficace .J'aime l'encadrement des arbres et la belle luminosité sur la brique de l'église. La contre plongée utilise parfaitement le ciel bleu comme arrière plan.

Lovely shot of this beautiful church in context, Gosia. Before reading your note, I expected it to be much older, given the building materials and general look - I'm surprised to learn it's less than 150 years in age! Nice bright shot with strong light and color. Thanks!

Hi Gosia,
A really splendid view of the facade of this church. Even though it is quite plain, it is still very beautiful, and shows that over ornamentation is not always needed to make a fine building. The shot is perefectly framed by the trees, and I love the light effects on all elements of the image. I would love to see that rose window from the inside.

It's so nice to see buildings built long time ago still standing and functional. Here in the U.S. a 50-year old building is considered old. I like the lighting and the use of the shadows to create depth. Nice to have the person for scale. Good dof with sharp details. Well done, tf.

I like the way the sun drops at angle on the church and the place, giving interesting areas with shadow while the chuch is in full light which enhances details of it's architecture in an image of very good quality.
