Photographer's Note

Barcelona's breath-taking Gothic cathedral, La Seu, can be found - appropriately enough - in the city's Gothic quarter, and is certainly one of the most tourist-worthy attractions in the city. Build between 1298 and 1448, and thus setting a precedent for untimely project management of cathedral construction in Catalonia (see Gaudi's La Sagrada Familia), the pinnacles and arches of La Seu are a truly beautiful sight to behold, whilst the interior is well worth checking out too. Aside from the awe-inspired nave, there are the cloisters full of orange, medlar and palm trees and a resident gaggle of thirteen geese, which represent the young life of Saint Eulalia, a matyr to Christendom. Find her remains down in the crypt (for this reason La Seu is sometimes known as the Cathedral de Santa Eulalia) or head up to the roof for superb views.

Bonjour Barbara,

J'ai eu le plaisir de visiter cette cathédrale dans le quartier gothique de Barcelone. Elle est superbe toute en hauteur. J'aime beaucoup ce cadrage qui réussit à capter la lumière des vitraux.

Prawie takie samo ujêcie tej katedry widzia³em u Graala. Nie dziwie sie , taki jak tu niesamowity widok tych strzelistych arkad przyci±gnie obiektyw ka¿dego aparatu. To faktycznie niesamowita, imponujaca i piêkna katedra. a¿ ¿al, ¿e jej widzia³em, ze tam nie by³em. Perfekcyjna jako¶c fotografii.

Very good view of the interior of the cathedral, with good ligh management, texture and attention to details. The place seems very majestic, I would just prefer the framing to be a little more symetrical, considering the shape of the columns and the perspective. Good job, anyway, congratulations!

I know that the great gothic architects intended to inspire a sense of awe with thir great works, and your great capture shows how perfectly they succeeded in that here. The vertical columns and beautiful windows both draw the eye up into that wonderful vaulted roof and into the heavens. The very thing it should do.nbrilliant shot. Zgadzam się z Tobą, że ta katedra to jeden z obowiązkowych punktów zwiedzania tego cudownego miasta. Mimo bardzo trudnych warunków udało Ci się ładnie uchwycić detal tego wnętrza. Fajnie wyszło.
