A few days ago my wife and I had the immense pleasure of to meet personally two good photographers, members of TE, which though a time ago they do not present new photos, allow us to enjoy their splendid galleries. They are Marianne, and Marc, with whom we spend several really pleasant hours during their visit in Barcelona. Also we were lucky to be able to visit the House Batlló with them, and I must say that it was the first time that I was visiting this icon of my city.
The photos that we take there are a magnificent recollection of that evening.

This one is one of them, in which I imagine a Christmas tree made of stone and marble, I hope you like.

Wikipedia: The House Batlló is a building of the architect Antoni Gaudí, maximum representative of the Catalan modernism. Is an integral remodeling of other building existing before in the same place, work of Emili Sala Cortés. It is placed in the number 43 of the Passeig de Gràcia of Barcelona, the broad avenue that crosses the district of the Eixample, in the called Block of the discord, because it shelters besides this building other works of modernists architects: the house Amatller, which is adjacent to that of Gaudí, work of Josep Puig i Cadafalch; the House Lleó Morera, work of Lluís Domènech i Montaner; the House Mulleras, of Enric Sagnier i Villavecchia; and the House Josefina Bonet, of Marcel•lià Coquillat. The construction was realized between the year 1904 and 1906.
The House Batlló is a reflection of the artistic fullness of Gaudí: it belongs to his naturalistic stage (the first decade of the 20th century), period in which the architect perfects his personal style, inspired by the organic shapes of the nature, for what put into practice the whole series of new structural solutions originated in the deep analyses effected by Gaudí of the ruled geometry. To it the Catalan artist adds a great creative freedom and an imaginative ornamental creation: departing from certain baroque style, his works they acquire great structural wealth, of shapes and volumes devoid of rationalistic inflexibility or of any classic premise.

Hace unos días mi esposa y yo tuvimos el inmenso placer de conocer personalmente dos buenos fotógrafos miembros de TE, los cuales aunque hace un tiempo que no presentan nuevas fotos, nos permiten disfrutar de sus espléndidas galerías.
Son Marianne, y Marc, con quienes pasamos varias horas verdaderamente agradables durante su visita a Barcelona.
También tuvimos la suerte de poder visitar la Casa Batlló con ellos, y debo decir que era la primera vez que yo visitaba este icono de mi ciudad.
Las fotos que tomamos allí son un magnífico recuerdo de aquella tarde.

Ésta es una de ellas, en la que imagino un Árbol de Navidad hecho de piedra y mármol, espero que os guste.

Wikipedia: La Casa Batlló es un edificio obra del arquitecto Antoni Gaudí, máximo representante del modernismo catalán. Se trata de una remodelación integral de un edificio previamente existente en el solar, obra de Emili Sala Cortés. Está situado en el número 43 del Paseo de Gracia de Barcelona, la ancha avenida que atraviesa el distrito del Eixample, en la llamada Manzana de la discordia, porque alberga además de este edificio otras obras de arquitectos modernistas: la casa Amatller, que colinda con la de Gaudí, obra de Josep Puig i Cadafalch; la Casa Lleó Morera, obra de Lluís Domènech i Montaner; la Casa Mulleras, de Enric Sagnier i Villavecchia; y la Casa Josefina Bonet, de Marcel•lià Coquillat. La construcción se realizó entre los años 1904 y 1906.
La Casa Batlló es un reflejo de la plenitud artística de Gaudí: pertenece a su etapa naturalista (primera década del siglo XX), periodo en que el arquitecto perfecciona su estilo personal, inspirándose en las formas orgánicas de la naturaleza, para lo que puso en práctica toda una serie de nuevas soluciones estructurales originadas en los profundos análisis efectuados por Gaudí de la geometría reglada. A ello añade el artista catalán una gran libertad creativa y una imaginativa creación ornamental: partiendo de cierto barroquismo sus obras adquieren gran riqueza estructural, de formas y volúmenes desprovistos de rigidez racionalista o de cualquier premisa clásica.
