Photographer's Note
The colorful Casa Batlló, a remodeled 19th century building, is one of Gaudí's many masterpieces in Barcelona. The house's interior is as fascinating as its exterior where Gaudí avoids straight lines at all cost. The entrance staircase is suggestive of a dragon's back. It leads to the noble floor of the house.

Dear May,
I could not figure out what I was viewing, the wing of a butterfly, a detail of a seashell... until I read your note. Then it became clear! The stairs and the bannister are lovely, and I recognize the house. The curves were provided by Master Gaudi. The superb light management and vantage point for the photo were provided by Master Jayne. Are you back in Kuala Lumpur now, or are you still gallivanting in Spain?
Warmest regards,
Bulent

Hi May Jayne. It is hard to be original when surrounded by works from an man who was himself original. Well, you did succeed in your photo to create an original image rather than just a record of a place. The POV and the use of light make us sit up and take notice, even to wonder. Thanks for giving me the link to those amazing photos of Cambodia. Incredible effects created by his filter. Best wishes. Klaudio.
