In fact, this picture was taken last year but I want to upload it now before dozens of pictures with snow invade TE. This is in front of my house in Barcelona city.

je suis surpris de ta photo, moins après avoir lu ta note! Tu as une belle image qui illustre l'hiver, avec ces parapluies qui bougent sous les bourrasques de neige.
Demain tu publies une photo du printemps, avant que TE ne soit envahi de fleurs? LOL

Hello Juan,
You had a good idea here. Yes, soon the autumn leaves will give way to snow storms. However, this is likely to be among the more attractive of those pictures, thanks mainly to the colourful umbrellas. The slight blur of the persons to the left gives us a sense of strong winds as they are hurryng to find shelter. The fine greytones of the tree and the fence also add to the viewing pleasure.

Nice marketing tactics:P Pretty unusual snow for Barcelona, right? Here in the South of my country seems to have nor rains or snows for this year.

I never realised that Barcelona got snow like this!

Obviously what catches the eye here are the bright splashes of colour from the umbrellas and jackets of the people in the picture. The composition is nicely balanced too with the group of people to one side of the frame and the tree and fence filling the other half.

Get ready for a snowy winter, Juan?
It's not so common in Catalunia to have snow - but last year it was the statistically unusual in March.
I was in Barcelona on 3/2000 - and it was fairly light cold - but there was no rain nor snow.

Great photo. I like the colours against the white and grey, the sense of movement and the composition. Perhaps not appropriate from Spain today as we have sunshine and over 20C in Andalucia.

I was just thinking snow in Barcelona, than I've noticed the date you made this capture; March 2010.
Good pov and perfect graphism also due to those two umbrellas, yellow and pink in white in white enviroment.

Hello Juan, does it snow in Barcelona? I suppose the point you have taken this shot is located at a district with a higher altitude. Is it ?

Nice photo however with the beautiful contrast of those colourful umbrellas against the snowy ground. Congratulations.

J'imaginais que la neige était déjà tombée sur Barcelone! Excellente scène où les parapluies colorées apportent leur touche de gaité. J'aime aussi beaucoup le mouvement apporté par les personnes bravant les intempéries.

This is what i call, well spotted photo opportunity given the situation of the day, ordinary daily subject is tranformed into a successful photo! The brilliant strong vivid colors perfectly placed in this white snowy environment drags the eyes straightaway to explore this scene and the contrast is stunning. Beautiful patches of colours in the snow. I like the impression of movement also. But to call it a "snow storm" with 1.5 cm of snow ?! I guess the difference of interpretation is you living in Barcelona and me living in Quebec! :)

Des chutes de neige à Barcelone alors que je ne vois rien depuis ma fenêtre, c'est clairement pas possible. La date de l'image doit être l'explication.
Très jolies ces couleurs sur un fond quasi n&b.

Very nice shot, even though it is a miserable weather, but it didn't dampen the spirit of the people and this image is full of fun and colorful atmosphere. I like how all is in grayscale, except the umbrellas and the jackets are in colors.

Para mim esta é uma composição surpreendente. As condições atmosféricas são muito adversas para a fotografia, mas as cores os guarda-chuva e a capa da criança fazem toda a diferença. Em Lisboa nunca cai neve :(
Uma composição muito difícil que foi muito bem realizada.
