I don`t like to photograph people in humiliating situations, in this case it was different. This man was not awake and we can not see his face. For me it is important to visit less frequently visited spots by tourists. Mostly due of interest, and i think it is important to see a society from all levels and surroundings for better understanding the place.
Cropped image, minor adjustments.
(thanks Gert (holmertz) for good advices and your opinion)

I agree that taking pictures of people in humiliating situations is not always a great idea, but in cases like this there is no need to worry: your picture has a powerful message, reminding everyone that not far from us there are people who struggle to survive and who deserve another chance.
Thanks for sharing.

My immediate impression when I saw the thumbprint and that this was from Spain: "Under a blanket in Madrid..."
Still, this is Barcelona and this seems to be a man. A very strong photo well a perfect composition! The graffiti, whatever it says, makes a strong contrast to the resting man. The perpendicular angles of the stairs and the door bear a clear importance in the picture.

I think it was a good choice to show this instead of the other. This shows as much of the problems in society and in a more considerate way. I also think it's a better picture. The man is very well framed and has a good background. The graffiti is eye-catching and probaby says something about society as well. It's a sad picture which unfortunately has a global significance these days.

excellent snapshot from the daily life of the cities in our days.Unfortunately the severe economical meters push every day a lot of people to sleep in the parks and the roads...
Have a good day,Danos

Hi Boe, I agree with you, when photographing the less fortunate people, but it is part of our society and we do need reminding how fortunate we are.Tfs, Cheers Iain.

A magnificent reportorial shot, showing a sad scene and everyday in the daily life of our cities.
I admire your decision to capture these situations, I am unable, I'm a big hurry to capture this type of situation, which certainly must reveal.
Very good sharpness and color.

It is sad to see homeless people. They are growing rapidly even in US. We are very fortunate to have a roof and square meals. The reality is captured very nicely. I like the bold letter graffiti on the door. The sharpness and lighting are excellent.

I like also this kind of reporter picture showing the life as it is. A very nice light management that lets the man in twilight and good inclusion of the tag on the door.

This kind of scene we see anywhere we travel, unfortunately - many people can't coop with demanding societies and economies. I never dared taking such a photo, feeling not easy for myself.
But after all said, you show some sort of daily-life in the big city, and that's acceptable.
My best regards,
